I wouldn't bet against that as I'm sure he and McDonough have had casual conversations and it's no coincidence he mentioned 4 guys.

Thank god, I’m ok with all of them. Doncic being the favorite.....the others just about equal. Just no Porter and JJJ...

I like that top 4. Some team is gonna get so lucky with Trae.

Does anyone else think what Joe Ingles right now is a solid comparison for Doncic?

Ingles is a versatile 6'8 226 lb guy that isn't overly athletic either but can defend some and playmake & rebound well. He's a key part of why Utah is so good even if his regular numbers aren't flashy.

Ingles is 30 but I think if he was 19 like Donicic then he'd be one of the top lottery picks as well.

Am I way off on this?

Ingles and Ginobili hybrid... offensively anyways.
As both are very good defenders... Doncis is meh

Ingles’s stats in Euroleague,

http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=003062#!careerstats

26 years old, in his prime, he avg. 6/3/3

Doncic did 17/5/5, when he was 18 years old.

I can’t see any comparison. Don’t forget that Doncic is playing Pg in Euroleague. His best comparison is less athletic Simmons, who can shoot and he has something Harden-ish in his game, how he draws fouls is elite.

Yeah, probably they are looking to add whoever is available at #4 from those four guys if we land at that position in the lottery.

I am surprised that he did not mention Trae Young. He need to receive big consideration IMO.

I think it is a good comparison, but Doncic obviously has bigger upside. You do not draft a kid in the Top #3 to be a glue guy or solid starter in his prime.

Ingles is taller. He is around 6'8.5 and Luka is around 6'7.5.
Doncic is more of a scorer and has a killer mentality. Ingles is more of a facilitator and catch and shoot SF.

Both are good ball handlers. Great in the pick & roll.

Ingles jumped really high in his early twenties, probably more explosive than Luka.

Doncic is gonna be stronger than Ingles, and he plays with more intensity.

Doncic reminds me of Turkoglu and his body is similar too. He is a Point Forward like him with a great stepback three and good passing ability.

Turkoglu was really good in his prime.

I just don't see many situations where we choose Doncic, unfortunately. Outside perhaps Altanta geting #1.

It seems, given quotes from the GM and players, as though they're enarmoured with Ayton.

Memphis has both Conley and Gasol, and Luka would be the more ready to contribute of the two. If they keep the pic, and don't trade away Gasol, I don't see them taking Ayton.

Atlanta could og both ways. They need a solid big, but also playmaking.

Dallas has DSJ, but I feel Carlisle would prefer Doncic.

Orlando has Issac and Gordon in the front court. They need playmaking more than anything.

This might just be pessimism, but I think the Suns will be welcoming Ayton or Bagley to Phoenix in June.

there is no similarities, except maybe their body, between this 2 players, Doncic is a guard, who can play 1-3. Ingles is not a guard.

Booker, Daniels, Bender shot 38% from 3 and we still finished last in 3PT% because the rest of the team shot 28%.

That's the only differentiating factor for me in the draft - wanting a perimeter shooter over an interior big.

He is playing minutes at PG, but he is not the starting PG by any means.

Facu Campazzo is the PG. He averages 9 points and 4.6 assists per game. He is really fun to watch, he is fast and tough to guard for everyone even being really small (5'10).

Ingles could play PG some minutes per game if the Jazz needed him at that position. I am pretty sure about it. He knows how to navigate around screens with the ball and is a good passer, really smart taking decisions.

Doncic - Ingles is not a perfect comparison, but I think it is a good one.

Two words:

Trae Young.

in Euroleague you don’t even have starters. many times the best players coming from the bench. Campazzo and Doncic rarely start together. Doncic, being in the court, is 80% Pg.I watched Ingles in Europe for 4 years and believe me, he doesn’t have nothing in common with Doncic. Where will you draft 23 years old player, with 5/1/1?

I still stand by my opinion that Doncic is a POINT-FORWARD.

I also am praying that no other lotto rated college guys decide to stay in college, thinning the herd.

If we could get Trae to fall just a lil' bit and find a team to trade up to get him, man, imagine the possibilities!

Young/Booker/Doncic/Jackson/?????????? <--- Thats a great team with more than capable ball handlers at almost every spot.

Young/Booker/Jackson/Ayton/??????????? <--- We get the Athletic freak that can destroy the paint while also getting the deadliest 3PT shooter.

I thought Jackson had way less production than the others but he has the same amount of points + blocks per 36 as Ayton and Bagley.

Who do you guys think was/were the last player/s drafted(except Simmons) that had a feel for the game/basketball IQ like Doncic?

Thinking of who might be available for 16-17:

PG - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Khyri Thomas
PF - Kevin Knox, Jontay Porter
C - Robert Williams, Mitchell Robinson

Doesn't really inspire me when we could turn the 2 picks into an All-Star.

Doncic
Ayton
Trae Young (I'm fully onboard here)
JJJ (I've warmed up on him)
Bagley
Bamba (I'm cooling on him, will he be able to put on mass? Will he score?)
