This is not the final game. It's the first game of a new era. An era where we all cheer for our team to win games again. The tank is done. The long night is over. Time for the Suns to rise. Let's start this off with a win!

I thought I followed the NBA a lot but then I realized I can't even name half of the players the Mavs are playing tonight.

Curious....being a big Duke fan, are you hoping we get Bagley? How does he rank on your draft board?

Hoping these players come back as hungry next year as Dudley in a McDonalds.

I'm personally not as high on Bagley as most, even being a Duke fan. His points seem inflated because of the amount of lobs he gets from Duval and Allen and it seems he gets around 30% of his points on just these dunks. He tried to shoot the corner threes as the season went on but he wasn't able to consistently hit them. He is a great rebounder with great athletism, but I think in the nba he will go up against people his size who also have the same amount of athletism as he has which will take away those easy lobs he has been getting and they will know he can not stretch the floor which will make it easier for them to guard him. Even though Bagley was better at Duke, I would rather have Carter as he was one of our most consistent three-point shooters as a big man while still getting tons of rebounds and he doesn't rely on his size and athletism for his points as he also has a nice post game like Bagley even thought Bagley's is better. Carter seems like the player you want in the current nba going forward as the stretch 5 while Bagley seems like the player you would have wanted 15 years ago as the dominant guy in the paint.

Interesting because with other Duke fans I've seen on the forums are really high on Bagley. But I have the exact same thoughts as you here. Carter is the better defender and 3 pt shooter and Bagley seems pretty limited and what he is good at might not translate well against better competition...like his HS block rate couldn't translate to college.

if Peters gets cut I could easily see him getting picked up by like the Spurs or Heat (cuz every former Sun ends up there, apparently) and being a solid player

You can't stop Alec Peters, you can only hope to contain him.

Return to Phoenix Suns
