Look, we all know that Ayton vs Doncic is going to dominate the boards and will likely drown out most posts discussing our other draft picks, so i decided it would be in our best interest to create its own thread, so have at it boys!
For Ayton Vs. Doncic talk, please go here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1707309
Last Draft Thread (Postseason Edition): viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1697625&start=2540
Now with that all over with, Who you got at #16? Who you got at #31?

Spencer Dinwiddie + 29th pick for the Miami Pick (16).

I'm in favor of dealing the 16 and stealing a guard at 31. There are some real NBA players to be had in range of our second rounder. The middle of the draft is more intrigue than anything else. And besides, I'm looking to fill out a bench with my second pick, not add another project. There will be opportunities to make risky selections in the future, when we're perpetually drafting in the twenties.

great choice to split the threads

interesting to see what kind of move we make this these picks as I can't see us having 3 rookies. maybe deal both to move up? Not sure how much traction they'll get. I'd like to at least keep one unless we're getting a starter back in return

I'd like us to take Doncic at #1 so we'll need a big at #16. I like Mitchell Robinson there. He's pretty risky imo but if he pans out and if Igor can put him in positions where he can succeed, I think he could be a monster.
At #31, I'd take a look at guy who has a little more experience like Hutchinson, Clarke or perhaps Melton

To be fair, I didn't think it was reasonable but since they gave me such a hard time in their forum, I said I dare you guys to post the trade on the Suns forum, which I just did instead....

I don't know if it's that unreasonable depending on who is available there and who we draft with the first pick.

I think we're likely trading both picks but I like Shai at #16 and Holiday at #31.

I also happen to think that we'll trade 16 in a package for a big. 31 - Jevon Carter or Jalen Brunson. Both experienced PGs, with good 3pt%, who could lead a good benc unit, or even start if they develop more, and are in the right system, as 4th/5th starter.

I very badly want Isaac Bonga. Athletic, can playmake, great measurables that will allow him to play a lot of positions. Tons of upside there.
At 16, I like Milton, Porter, Robinson, Walker. Won't be upset with Musa either.
At 31, Bonga, Khyri Thomas, Shamet, Melton, Kurucs, Bates-Diop, Dialo.
59: Brandon McCoy, or guys you can keep overseas (Kulboka, Bitadze)

I'm a big fan. I am hoping for him or Bonga at 31, but won't be mad about taking either at 16.

I like Bonga if he can develop a consistent jump shot. Maybe we could hire someone to work with him in Europe until he is ready to play in the NBA. Then again we have TJ Warren who is a similar player.
I also like Bates-Diop. His tape reminds me of Derrick Williams in college. The question is if that will translate at the next level.

Thomas is intriguing at 16. Hmm.
If we deal the 16, I would look for Holiday, Carr, Allen, Milton or J. Robinson at 31.

I was kinda interested in Carter, but he pretty much bombed the measurements. He's not 6"2, just 6 foot even. His wingspan is horrible (6"3).

Dinwiddie was 13th in RPM among point guards. He has game and good size. I also like the depth of the draft. After the lottery there are a lot of similarly rated players throughout the first and early second round. It's really going to be draft by preference. But out #31 diminishes the value of #29.
