Am I crazy for this? (also, would this even work?). Hear me out.

TJ Warren/Josh Jackson for Memphis's #4, Mcklemore, and Jamychal Green

1. We take no albatross Parsons contract.
2. We get our guys Ayton #1 and Luka #4.

Yes, we give up TJ Warren and Josh Jackson for Luka, but I'm actually a fan of Jamychal Green (38% 3point shooter, decent steals and blocks in a 6'9 PF)

Memphis might do this because they get immediate help for their wishful contending in Warren + a building block for the future in Jackson.

We cut our losses and build around Ayton/Booker/Luka with hopefully Bender or Chriss growing a set of balls or a head, respectively.

Josh Jackson has the tools and fire to be a star wing. If he was lazy or lack lustre in effort I can see why you would want to trade him...

Even other team fans in the General Board sees it.


He is perfect next to Booker....

It does kind of suck that in a super stacked top 5 or so of a draft, 4 of the 5 teams with top 5 picks are Western Conference teams, even though the Eastern Conference is always the weaker conference.

Sucks for who? Haven't the Eastern Conference teams gotten the majority of top 5 picks in the last few years?

I'd rather more stars end up in the eastern conference. It's already lopsided making it tougher to make the playoffs, the all star games, etc, and now 80% of the top 5 is joining the east. Last year, two all stars from east move west (George and Butler). LeBron could too.

Just makes things tougher for us.

Honestly, they probably just need to get rid of the Eastern and Western conferences as far as the playoffs are concerned, imo.

I really wanted Doncic too...but look at it this way:

He can go to Mavs, spend a few years getting experience, maturing and becoming an all star. Then, when his contract is up, the Mavs will lowball him for one reason or another, we swoop in and get him, he goes on to lead SSOL 2.0 and becomes league MVP.

Sound familiar?
History repeats and the Ayton/Doncic dream is realised
