Wouldn’t mind them starting Bridges either for same reason + defense.

Oh yeah I'd also prefer Bridges but didn't think that was a realistic option.

Through 5 games played, Elie's already 2nd in rookie PGs in assists (per 36 he's EASILY in 1st) with shooting splits of 44.8/35.7/90 He should only continue getting better. Those are solid numbers for someone on a bad team through 5 games as a rookie.

I don't think it's a bad thing. Gets him more playing time while they check out Melton as the backup. I won't be surprised if they switch them out in this regard or keep both of them back up when they call him back up.

They should've had Melton in the G league to begin with if they wanted to do this. And like I said earlier, Elie is one of 3 players that can actually create offense for others on this team. He actually went 15 and 9 tonight, w 5 rebounds 2 steals and led the team in +- with 15. I like that he's getting playing time, but we have nothing to lose playing him more in NBA action. Please bring him back soon.

Melton was in the G league. Didn't he just get triple double there?

You're right he did play. Well, I stand corrected.

Elie had a great 1st half but did it seem to anyone else that that wasnt in the flow of Koko's offense? If we are gonna have an effective pg, he has to be able to break down the defense and dish, not fit into the blender somewhere. Didnt happen in the second half at all where he was given the ball to just create.

His shot looks good. His D looks good. His handle seems good. As a floor general, he needs work. Still, intriguing.

Elie was killing us last night. Looked like a real rookie.

If anyone thought he had turned the corner after that one really good game he had after we released Canaan, they are probably lying to themselves. He might be god but he's not ready yet. It's going to be like this all season. 2nd round rookie generally aren't consistent

His defense is beyond atrocious. He's probably going to be an okay defender someday, but right now, he's clueless on defense, possibly worse than Canann. He can't start with Ayton on the starting roster.

One would think god would be ready to ball even as a rookie
