Appreciate that very much, thanks. We're both very open to what we do with our content in the future and any listener feedback really helps us sort out that process.

Well obviously that slants it hugely in Mitchell's favor. But I guess you just say long term and consider he would get a max as well. Interesting they were both 13th picks so bargain rookie deals. But I guess Mitchell only has two years of rookie contract past Booker's, so it's not like it's an entire rookie contract.

Given where they already are, it certainly gives them flexibility to make moves before it kicks in though.

I actually did this poll on the PC board and there was one on the trade board during the year, and I think the PC one (not considering salary) was fairly even, but the trade board slanted in Mitchell's favor because of the salary.

But after the end of season stretch and playoff performance, Mitchell dominates most of these polls today.

Mitchell playoff stats: 24/6/4 on 42% from field and 31% from 3. Those shooting numbers are woeful. If that were Booker putting up those exact same numbers in the playoffs we wouldn't hear the end about him being an inefficient chucker. Gobert, Rubio, Ingles, and Favors are better than anyone Booker played with last year.

The offensive gap is not close. The pro Mitchell bias is so crazy after his shameful campaign to win ROY, while anti Booker bias just keeps growing regardless of what he does. But I prefer it that way. Let him prove them wrong, again and again.

Well he was putting up bad shots, especially against Houston, because they don’t have too many options.

Rubio was hurt and Gobert was getting owned by Capela.

Yeah, I think his was the OKC series that really impressed everyone, where he scored like 28.5 ppg on over 46% from the field and over 36% from 3, and then took over in the close out game with Rubio going out. But yeah, Houston put the clamps on him when Rubio was out and Mitchell was forced to try and do more.

Doubtful. Those seasons are harder to come by with the # and % of 3s going up, bringing down overall %...even for guys like Curry/Durant. If they take half their shots from 3 and even shoot 43%, they'd need to hit 57%+ from 2.

But on top of that, Book hasn't even sniffed 50% from 2. He stays around 44-47% in that range. If he starts going just to the rim and shooting 3s it would be more possible....cut out as many mid-long 2s as possible because they are not efficient. He's near 60% at the rim but under 40% at top of key and 44% mid range last year.

Ayton helps with everything except will help with 3s more than mid range (and of course shots at the rim) if he's in the middle....so his mid range shots should decrease.

That would be huge. I would not mind it if he did that and scored under 20 pg. 18-19 points on a 50-40-90 season would be a huge step forward.

I thought 50 is only for 2-pointers not for overall %.

It should be...but it isn't. I even argued on the GB once that in this day and age they should look at it like that since 3s are such a high volume of overall shots that the first number isn't real meaningful any more. A big like Towns if he could get his FT up there has a good chance because most all 2 pointers come inside....his overall is 54.5/42/86....he shoots 58.5 from 2.

I mean Curry had an INSANE season, but finished at 49.5/42.3/92.1...so he shot THAT well from 3 and from 2 he shot 59.5! and still couldn't hit the 50/40/90...even though that's probably a better overall season of shooting than anyone ever. He just shot more 3s than 2s (almost 10 to 7 per game) so the 3s pulled him under 50 even though he shot great from 3. Darren Collison came nearly as close shooting 46.8% from 3 and only 50.8% from 2...49.5% overall because he shot more 2s...but like 88% from the line.

At the rate that he’s recovering, I wonder if he plays in the pre season finale to kinda warmup and get his legs under him a bit.

Kinda freaked me out a bit that he's already got the splint off but hey I'm not medical expert. I just prefer to err on the side of caution, especially since it's his shooting hand and he makes a living off shooting.
