Well I think everyone knows he can score. For example, he scored 70 points on Boston, yet we still lost that game. I think he has better players around him now, and that WS% will increase, but I was just making the observation. And from that observation, I could see how that translated into less votes for him for All NBA squads.

Pretty crazy to think that going into his 6th year, this will be the first time he has had a 2nd year coach (and a decent one at that), 2 straight years of a good starting PG, good defensive wings, shooting and a forward who is a threat to score (hopefully) in Ayton.

Just picked a random mid season starting lineup off BRef from the last 5 years to illustrate. Continuity and quality teammates should hopefully have a big impact next year, on Booker and the team.

19-20 - D. Ayton · D. Booker · M. Bridges · K. Oubre · R. Rubio
18-19 - D. Ayton · D. Booker · M. Bridges · D. Melton · T. Warren
17-18 - D. Booker · T. Chandler · M. Chriss · T. Ulis · T. Warren
16-17 - E. Bledsoe · D. Booker · M. Chriss · A. Len · T. Warren
15-16 - D. Booker · T. Chandler · A. Goodwin · M. Morris · P. Tucker

that 15-16 lineup makes me want to barf lol.

I agree, it is awesome that he is in a much more stable situation. I would love to see a full season with that top line up you posted.

My comment was addressing the lack of votes he got and the possible reason, which WS% stood out. People voting almost always look at wins.

Dropping 25 points on the Clippers, he leapfrogged former Suns legend Tom Chambers and is now 11th on the Suns’ all-time scoring list.

Here’s a quick guide for where our All-Star shooting guard is at the moment.

10 - Dan Majerle 8,034 points
11 - Devin Booker 7,831 points
12 - Tom Chambers 7,817 points

He has a chance of moving up to 8th all-time and passing Westy by the end of the year.

This was actually an awesome play (the steal specifically) by Booker. If you can see the other camera angles he actually doesn't touch the ball on the inbound pass, he just read where they wanted the ball to go in and made them throw it farther into the backcourt than IND wanted and the ball actually went off the Pacers players' fingertips and Book got to it first.

He's really getting SOO much better on D this year, I'm truly impressed by his growth in that arena. I just hope he gets the recognition for it he deserves.

Not at all trying to take any wind from his defensive sail beause I've been very happy with both his effort and effectiveness on defense this year but I think his improvement on that end of the court is probably due in large to a combination of having 4 elite/great defenders around him (Bridges, Ayton, CP3, Crowder) that both cover his defensive lapses and are also better communicators on that side of the court too. The other big factor is likely his offensive load has been lightened with the more well-rounded system, CP3 and also the emergence of the Cam's, Bridges and Dario on offense.

When you've been on a doo-doo team for as long as he has where playing a lick of defense won't change the outcome but playing extremely could offense would at least give the team a chance, he'll pick up some bad habits. From a team where defense was optional and largely pointless to a team where defense has become an identity, he HAS to be a factor on that end for us to be successful and he now has a reason to really really try

I’ve said this before and almost feel bad saying it but it’s a shame that Booker hasn’t missed any games for us yet. I wish we would sit out 1 or 2 games because I want to see the team play without him.

Insert Cam into Book’s spot instead and keep Crowder at old starter positions and I genuinely believe we would be a much better team doing that.

Having Booker watch from the bench for a whole game or two while the team plays much better might be the cue for him to realize that he doesn’t need to try and play hero every ****ing night and ruin our chances at winning ball games.

It's fun to blame Kendall Jenner for his struggle, but coaching is mostly to blame. I don't think you go from a stud to hot garbage overnight for no apparent reason.

Monty wants Ayton to play closer to the rim instead of taking midrange jumper (as do most fans). The problem with that is that it takes away the Booker/DA pick and pop (and PNR) that has worked well. Teams at least acknowledge DA's ability to shoot the midrange jumper, giving Booker enough space to drive to the rim or pull up for his patented mid range jumper. Not this year. His free throw attempts and shots near the rim are down, because DA and his defenders are at the rim too much. FWIW, despite all the criticism, DA is shooting 56.5% at the 10-16 ft range. They need to get back to what was working before.

Damn, those two losses against the Nuggets have been horrible. It is disgusting.

With Book out for the next few games (and probably Saric too) everything will be a bit tougher and we will need a better Cam Payne.

What if we trade Booker for Beal?
