Damn. Nassir Little was about 24 hours away from announcing to AZ then the FBI stuff hit. Bol Bol was also a lock.

We will not be in the top5 imho. Looking at players between 7-12 Bol Bol, Gafford and old Porter could end up here as of now, but there is a lot of ball to be played, for example: pretty much no PGs in the lottery? That will change for sure.
As for Zion - I don't think I want a 6'6 PF with weight problems... Sir Charles aint walking through that door.
The rest of the draft: we should trade down or out if we have a top 7 pick, if there is no worthy PG or big guy (preferably PF, although we'll need a backup for Ayton as well) available.

Yes, but we can't just draft another SG/SF or if we do we have to trade somebody from there.

I'm assuming we will trade our pick for an established player or take a stretch 4 like Porter and let one of chriss or bender walk.

Well I agree, but if you figure you don't want to rely on rookies for a year or two, you can always add depth, but obviously a PG or big would be good.

I still don't think we should proclaim stuff about what we do or do not need until we have proven successful. I like who we have now, but the results remain to be seen.

Well, if we're not set at the wing for the forseeable future with Book, JJ, TJ, Mikal and Reed then we are phucked. Ofcourse if we win the lottery from the no7 (or whatever) spot thats a different convo.

I think the Suns will have a low top10 pick pre-lotto, something like 8-9th overall

Darius Garland might end up in that range, he is probably the most interesting PG in this class

I personally see the suns taking their pick and trading at the deadline.

I can’t see another rookie on this team.

Really interested with the new lottery dynamics. Seeing that the top guys are mostly wings, I'm just glad we're pretty much already set for the long haul with Book/JJ/Mikal.

And damn the Celtics could be competing for the chip and still own TWO lottery picks come June.

I just hope this won't be the most exciting thread this season.

Kid leaps like Gerald Green at 6-7 280. He moves well and is a good ball handler too. He is the closest I have seen the Charles Barkley and a long time.

Not sure how he plays D or shoots.

Wasn't loving Williamson as a prospect because he's a bit too much of a tweener in my eyes but seeing where the NBA is moving, it's possible tweeners become more valuable, especially those who can handle the ball and shoot the 3 which I didn't know he could do. Most of the highlights were of him dunking obviously but seeing he has ball handing abilities and has some range makes me re-evaluate him. The problem with tweeners of the past like your Derrick Williams, Anthony Bennetts and Alando Tucker is that while they were skilled in the post despite their shorter stature, they didn't have enough of the skills to be effective from the perimeter. It's a reason why players like Evans and even Beasley is having a resurgence of sorts. Offense creation from the perimeter is where it's at. Players are either focusing on getting better shooting the 3 or they are focusing on getting better at creating from the wings.

That's the direction Zion has to be in if he wants to be make it big in the NBA.

Don't care much for this draft class. Mostly because we are going to be picking in the late teens area

I love the draft and it is my favorite part of the NBA season. However I think that 2019 draft has less talent in it then the draft that gave us Bender and Chriss.

These things have a way of changing as guy emerge out of nowhere but early look is not good for the 19 draft. So as a suns fan we should be rooting for the bucks this season and that pick to NOT convey. Plus after this year bledsoe, Middleton and brogdon (RFA) are hitting the market so they could take a step back in 20.
