Sent a PM to my Minnesota "insider" to try and get his thoughts on Crawford....

He’s the worst player I have ever had the misfortune of watching in a Minnesota Timberwolves uniform, albeit part of that analysis is based on usage-rate and minutes played. Absolutely painful to watch.

Well there is a huge difference between when Butler is in the game, and when he goes to sit and is replaced with Crawford. Not nearly as big of a difference if he is replacing Booker on the floor for 15-20 MPG (Around what Daniels played last season). You could even shrink that down to around 12-15 MPG (Daniels MPG is kind of inflated because he had to play more minutes per game due to Booker sitting out with injury).

Crawford declined his $4.5 million player option but will accept half that to play for a worse team? Just retire, dude.

Has it been confirmed that we offered it and has he accepted it?

Everyone is saying it but the only reference point that everyone is using as a source (CBS, 247, Realgm, Arizona Sports) is something Gambo said earlier today. Nobody has said it except for him and we all know we can't always trust Gambo.

Definitely would not take it as confirmed

It's ridiculous that we even brought him in. And Jones said he didn't even know until the media reported it? This is the most dysfunctional this franchise has ever been.

From a PG perspective (which is the position we're trying to fill) how does Jarrett Jack match up against Crawford? I've always thought of Jack as a solid vet PG and wanted him as a back up. Not a great shooter or defender but almost 6 assists in 25mpg on only 1.9TPG

Wasn’t it a James Jones who said the Suns won’t sign any token vets?

What the hell is Jamal Crawford besides just that!

Good assist guy, bad shooter and defender.

I think when they said we wouldnt go after "Token' Vets" he had something else in mind.

Responding to yourself? Reported in a number of places but all of them point to Gambo as their source.

I quickly realized I had an internet machine in my hand and decided to hop on the world wide web to sleuth for myself. I figured I would answer my own question.
