Ayton vs Doncic will be the storyline but he actually has a great matchup for him against DeAndre Jordan.

Harrison Barnes is out so they’ll start Dorian Finney Smith. I would put Ryno on DFS, Ariza on Doncic, Booker on Matthews and Canaan on Smith Jr.

Hopefully the Suns play competent basketball.

Nope. Ayton will get 18 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan is going to sag off him and Ayton will hit 2 mid-range jumpers before Jordan plays a bit more tight, and then Ayton will blow by him for a dunk. Booker/Ayton PnR is going to be a nightmare for opposing teams.

I think that's a key matchup for this game. DJ will have a ton of work with Ayton. If he is motivated enough on defense Ayton will have tough night otherwise it could go really bad for Mavs. Kokoskov will know how to slow down Doncic and Booker can counter DSJ in numbers easily. So i think PHX will take this one.

It's at 10:30 ET, not 7:30.

No Barnes, and a home game, this is the best Suns chance at picking up a W early in their schedule.

I genuinely hope your young guns start solidifying themselves and show real promise that you are on the way of finally escaping the groundhog day hell of recent seasons where by mid season the only thing fun are kerssed's gifs. I for one am very curious to see the new coach's system and how that might translate into future season's success.

The Mavs have had a strange path since the title... all those years ago now. You can't exactly pin point what their team building philosophy is, but fortunately their sabotage efforts didn't prevent them from being able to finally have the chance to draft one or two top tier talents, so at least there's that to look forward to and monitor their progress.
