The problem is everyone on this roster thinks they're great and have nothing to prove. No toughness, no rage, no shame at getting their butts kicked. It's not a one player thing, and if it is, that one player certainly isn't Isiah Canaan.

Everyone hates on him for what he isn't, not for what he is. People are just unrealistic and unreasonable when it comes to hating on Canaan. He's only a problem because we have no starting caliber PG. If we did, and he came off the bench, I think he'd be at worst an average 2nd string PG.

On who? Canaan or Rozier?

I don’t understand why the Suns are going for the flashy move in Rozier instead of going for one of the other less hyped players.

Even someone like Satnoransky, McConnell or Tyus Jones would all be upgrades and likely wouldn’t cost an arm & a leg.

I think everyone would agree with that. I was a big proponent of trading for Kemba last season but I think that ship has sailed. He's playing amazing right now and Charlotte is more than likely going to try to push for the playoffs and hope to keep him next summer. I really think we could have traded Jackson + Mil first for him last season when he was heavily rumored to be available.

I do not like Tyus Jones enough now...he has got minutes in the last few games and he has played terrible basketball for the Wolves.

Satoransky is not good enough. Backup player, not really good at anything.

I am OK trading for Rozier, but I am not a fan.
I would like to know what we are offering for him...not sure...probably we are just offering Bender + Mil pick for him.

Its interesting to read the entire thread and see exactly how wide of a spectrum Boston fans feel about Rozier and their expectations on a return for him. I only saw 2 posters say what i would think is a reasonable return from us.

What Rozier clearly has on his side is that he plays hard and with intensity...the guy has a high motor.

Brandon Knightmare plays with intensity and has a high motor too.

To quote from that article...

Quietly, at least seven teams have been monitoring Rozier’s status this season, league sources told The Athletic, waiting to see if the Celtics could begin to field trade calls. The Phoenix Suns have aggressively pursued Rozier, even before firing Ryan McDonough as general manager, league sources said.

Maybe that played a part in his firing? They were thinking "Oh no, not another Brandon Knight situation...let's prevent that."

GAmbo on twitter saying that the Celtics would accept a top 3 protected first rounder for Rozier

So, I can see that Ainge is talking to Gambo again - being his mouthpiece. Of course Ainge would accept that. I would rather give Utah a top 10 protected first round pick for Rubio than give the Celtics anything more than Melton and the Bucks pick for Rozier.

I wouldn't even trade the Bucks pick for Rozier even though I know that pick is likely going to be a very late pick.

Rozier is going to want a crazy overpaid contract and this might end up like the Bledsoe standoff in the summer again.

I agree. 58.5% eFG; 37.1% from 3 on solid volume. If Point Book worked, Canaan would be a pretty good fit alongside him (ignoring defense for a moment). We'd all think quite highly of him if he were coming off the bench. He's not the problem.

Brandon Knight, Tyson Chandler, Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss, Josh Jackson and now Ryan Anderson are the problem.

Stephon Marbury:Steve Nash::Brandon Knight:___?___. Answer that and you know how this team's problem gets solved.

Bender for Rozier doesn't work in the trade machine. Daniels for Rozier works. I would do Daniels and the Bucks pick for Rozier. Not my favorite trade but an expiring and a pick in the 20's --- would be worth it at best.

This is the #1 reason to not trade for Rozier. He's simply not worth it.

The only player I'd give up for Rozier is Bender. The only pick I'd give up is Milwaukee's. I think that's more than fair given his contract situation and terrible shooting percentages. He has a chance to develop well as a starter but we'd be fools to overpay.

I agree - but the Milwaukee pick and the Daniels contract is the best I got for Ainge if Sarver gets a bee in his bonnet.

Then do you pay him what he wants?

Of course they would. They are not stupid. I could have reported that. Rozier obviously isn't worth anything near a top 10 pick.

The problem is we need to make multiple trades and redo 80% of the current Roster.

Doesn’t matter what Rozier wants, a lot of teams have their PG. 20 mil is not going to happen. I say he gets 12-15mil a year.
