Your top 3 PG trade target.

Who are the point guards you would try to trade for as a Suns manager, considering their contract, age, fit with the team etc? Only realistic options, no Currys and Lillards.

Conley was always my first choice but he’s leading a 12-5 team in points and assists so they’ll keep the band together. The Suns made a mistake not going after him in the offseason.

I want Wall. Also, Machado and Harper. It isn't my money.

Dinwiddie, Delon Wright or Beverley.

Dinwiddie would fit like a glove - great size, good jumpshot, can play off or on-ball and he doesn't turn the ball over. Also seems to love the big moments - every time I've seen him in clutch situations he comes through for them. Have to think - when they're already paying Crabbe $18m per - that they're not going to be able to afford Dinwiddie, Russell AND RHJ, when they all need new deals.

Delon Wright - always been high on this guy. Another combo guard with great size and he's an free agent at season's end. I'd offer him 2yr $20m or 3yr $25m and I don't think TOR would match.

Beverley - this one's been beaten to death, he'd be a nice fit for obvious reasons. But the Clips are doing well and he's slotted back into that bench backup behind SGA (who is a beast already). Not sure LAC sell on him, yet.

I wouldn't be against Ryno + Bender for George Hill (next year only $2m guaranteed) either.

I really like that Monte Morris in Denver - though they have him locked up for 3 years on a rookie deal, so he'd be tough to pry away. Currently leads the league in assists to turnover ratio!

Also really like Josh Hart and even though he's more of a 2, he could easily start alongside Book and defend PGs.

Hell even Jeremy Lin looks sharp and would fit next to Book!

Corey Joseph would be a good stopgap, so would Tyus Jones - but neither are long term starters.

Then there's Fultz...I'd give them Bender + MIL pick and maybe a 2nd, but nothing more.

I have the worst feeling we're going to throw a max at D'Angelo Russell and the Nets won't match...He's Booker's best bud and both have said they've love to play together.

I'd say in order of value, both in contract value, as well as roster fit:

1- Malcolm Brogdan. By Trade: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y7b79jeo .Plus their first rounder back!
(Or if they're just looking for savings in exchange, I'd offer Arizas' expiring and Their Milwaukee pick back.

2-Patrick Beverley: By Trade: I'd offer them Arizas' expiring, plus Dragan Bender and Troy Daniels.....In exchange for Tobias Harris and Patrick Beverley. And if they won't accept that, Then I'd just make it a simple trade of Dragan Bender for Patrick Beverley.

3-Goran Dragic- By Trade: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y8pl84be .

I'd offer Arizas' expiring, and Ryan Andersons' contract (which due to him accepting a reduction in his 2nd year, still saves Miami 3 or 4 million) additionally, I'm willing to take back James Johnsons' contract in exchange for Wayne Ellingtons' $6 million expiring (To soften the blow of Johnsons' 3rd year contractually)and Bam Adebayo(For his size, and weak side defensive potential at the 4 spot next to Ayton).

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y9w696n6 . I added these players as an example of Arizas' expiring to make the numbers work....lol.

So all in all, Phoenix gets back Dragic, James Johnson, Bam Adebayo, and Ellingtons' 6 million expiring. Ellingtons' 6 million expiring reduces the cost of johnsons' contract to around 8 million for next year, and we move Andersons' contract for one of similar cost, but greater value in terms of production and need. And theoretically have point guard and power forward covered. And even though we won't get to be major players in 2019 free agency, We pretty much have a large amount of cap space for 2020 free agency possibly as dragics' contract expires. By my choice, I'd exchange Johnsons' contract with Waiters.

The heat would do this as having us take back waiters' contract along with Bams' would give them somewhere in the area of $15 million -17 million in savings to use in 2019 free agency I believe.

I really don't want the extra year of Johnson at 14 million for his low production. But if it helps us move Anderson, while acquiring dragic…….Then I might consider it.

My last choice by by trade would be for Wall due to his albatross of a contract, But if it did happen I'd try to make it a little more palatable if I could: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yask7fwb .

Miami loses Dragic, but gains around $35 million in expiring contracts as incentive to trade Dragic. Now Riley has the cap space to more fully pursue Jimmy Butler, and still have some change left over perhaps!

Washington does this trade to get out of Walls' long term Albatross, While still getting back an all star Caliber replacement with a good attitude, Just for taking on Ryan Andersons' contract which is Basically 3 years less than walls' anyways. This would obviously be the best possible return that Washington could realistically hope for!

And pretty much the same for Miami, in acquiring the necessary cap space to pursue Jimmy Butler, etc. while giving them massive cap savings in exchange for Dragic.

Finally, The suns get their all star veteran big name player at a position of great need, And get out of Anderson's contract in exchange for taking back Walls' monster contract and using Arizas' expiring , which they planned on using anyhow. And they get oubre as a bonus....Everybody wins!

Any thoughts?

In free agency, I'd prefer these 3 guards in this order:

1- Rubio.

2-Patrick Beverley.

Malcom Brogdan.

It really depends on cost. I don't think any team in the playoff hunt will give up a guy in their rotation for what we might want to offer. Now if a team has surplus of PGs and could use Ariza, I might look at that.

I wouldn't mind Rozier if it didn't cost much. I'd prefer an expiring so I like the Indy guys and think Hill is someone worth watching, though I am not sure how that works without Chandler...would take Ariza and Daniels at least..but maybe they would do it and then buy out Ariza.

Preferably we could get someone who was ok at defending at least. Teodosic doesn't play D but if he's not playing at all right now, you'd think that maybe if we traded them a little less expiring salary like Daniels and Canaan or something they would maybe do it. It would be nice if they bought him out and we could just sign him into our roster spot.

Out of available guys, Wall, Fultz and.... Ntilikina? I definitely think NY would be willing to move on from Frank. I’m not that high on him but it would be interesting.

I should add that I don’t think Beverly is available but he would be high on my list.

Brogdon- I'm also a bucks fan so happy if he stays there but if any other team is going to pay him it might as well be the suns. He would fit well, smart good leader who can D it up and shoot. Good off the ball and could play with Booker.

Dinwiddie- another RFA I'd target this summer. Good solid player. Shooting well this year curious if it holds up.

Rubio- shooting terrible this year but his d and playmaking would be a welcome addition.

This would be my free agent wish list next summer. Now that could change if they draft a PG or someone better is there in a trade.

Jeremy Lin would make a lot of sense IMO. Expiring contract. Can play off the ball (did so next to Kemba). Good locker room guy. Always plays within the system and is a decent defender.

Kemba - Fierce competitor, good attitude, hard worker. Team wants to keep him, but they suck.

Dragic - A bit of a cry baby, but with McDonough gone and coach Koko in charge, maybe we can start fresh? This would instantly become his team.

Brogdon - The Bucks are playing great and if I recall, his "max" contract can only be something like $60 mil for some reason? I really think they keep him.

Payton - Would love to have him back. Passing and penetration. We need both.

Rubio - If Utah keeps struggling, I'd love to swap him for Ariza. He'd at least get our other guys involved.

DSJ, Dallas will eventually give the keys to Luka do he'll be a luxury for them.

D Russell/Dinwidie they can't keep them both.

Fultz if he passed the physical.

I have lost all my faith about this FO and Sarver, with or without McDonough.

I do not expect any move at this point.
Canaan probably will get an extension during the summer. Yes, that can happen.

I think I throw all of our money..maybe the max possible to Brogdon. Like him much more than Rozier, and pretty much most of the others outside of Kemba, but with his size and defense it helps...plus he is just a smart player who shoots well and moves the ball.
