Seriously. His stats will look great again, but his effort on D was awful. He just watches people go by him or hit shots over him. Just incredibly passive.

I didn't understand why he allows offensive rebounds...especially when he is guarding Drummond well, right there, and doesn't even go for the rebound. Happened multiple times. If he tried harder he could lead the NBA in rebounding.

That's happened to him at least three times this game already. He's very much a system player. Doesn't have the natural feel.

Rubbish assessment.

Ayton doesn't have natural feel?

The guy has excellent finishing abilities down low has elite hands for his size and knowshow to score down low one on one.

The team treats him like the Rockets treat Capela.... A finisher.

But Ayton should be used as a first option as he can find open men and can make the pass.

Man. Why even respond to these guys? Waste of time. Easiest way to get And 1's is blame Ayton

I guess it just doesn't seem natural to me at all, the plays he makes looks more calculated rather than being instinctive.

We're already thin. Then take away our second leading scorer in the first half over a bull **** call and even bull **** ier ejection and we're done.

The end of the long road trip (tired legs) plus getting nothing from Cannan and almost nothing from Bridges was the final nail in the coffin.

I'm just glad Blake jackass Griffin will spend the last meaningful years of his career on a treadmill team in America's second worst city.

P.S. Where the **** is Okobo?????

I have to lol at this. Doesnt look for the ball? He is CONSTANTLY calling for it......and being ignored by half the team. The other half look to throw it in to him, and about half of that half they cant get it to him and instead keep passing it around the 3 point line.

25 Points on 11/13 (86.6% FG) says a ton. Specially against one of the better defensive C's in Drummond.
37 Points on 14/24 (60% FG), that was one of Bookers better games this season (Shooting wise).
Only 6 points from Warren due to his untimely ejection, if he had played the full game and got his normal 25, this game would have been a win.

Also got to say that Griffin continues to amaze me. Seriously on of the best PF's in the league. Always seems to give the team what the need on a per game basis. Need rebounds? He can do that. Need someone to facilitate the offense? He's one of the best passing bigs in the league. Need someone to score 50? Been there done that! Pistons were very very very smart to get him when they did and for as cheap as they did. Really wish we could have got in on that when his value was as low as it was. Thats the reason you see me mentioning guys like that all the time. I get, "Why do you want <Insert All-Star Name Here>, he has been horrible this year!" or "<Insert All-Star Name Here> is ALWAYS injured, screw that!". Got to risk it for the biscuit and go after these kinds of guys when their value is super low. Wanted Griffin for years. This year Cousins is my guy in that situation. We HAVE TO GET HIM ASAP!

Could be he is being instructed by the coaching staff to defend, box out, and allow someone else to grab it.

The golden boy Bridges got tons of minutes, put up 2pts and shot 12% this game. There's your loss right there.

Yet going by this thread I might assume Ayton was somehow equally or more responsible despite putting up an efficient 25pts plus 12 boards and 3 blocks.

Can only guess the reaction if or when Ayton has a game close to as bad as what Bridges just did. There will be a meltdown of Biblical proportions.

That's great but I was commenting on a play where Bridges dished it off to Ayton down low and he lost it because he wasn't looking. It happened. Sorry you missed it.

Ps. What's with the mods jumping down everyone's throats?

Bridges impacts the game without scoring. He does things that dont show up in the box score but can help you win the game. Defense, hustle, spacing, similar to Shane Battier.

I really like Ayton, he was my pick for #1 all along and thought he played very well this game. His best statline so far and he played good D, more than I can ask for. If I point out some small criticism it shouldn't be perceived as hate for him or laying the blame on him for the loss.

I like Igor too, but I felt he made some big mistakes this game which contributed to the loss.

I'm not just gonna choose a side and ride with whatever suits my narrative, wouldn't make sense to do that. I want this team to succeed, I don't care about being right or wrong.
