The dude is a hard nosed tough player from the day one.... worked his tail off at all stops. Lookng forward to his contribution and hope he embraces being here. He is the type of pro that will take on all challenges. Everything you read about him says so. And he didn’t cost us anything but Ryan Anderson .... it seems too many here had already stretched Anderson when it was more or less and option we all here penciled in.

I'm not so sure he gets waived this summer. With the amount of teams with cap space I could see some idiotic deals thrown around when teams fail to land the top guys. If the market gets too hot they might just use their 15 mil and keep him around as an expiring to either just play out and get the space the following year or in trade.bwgood77 wrote:Frank Lee wrote:Boo hoo

Well it's easy to pencil in waiving/stretching Anderson when you have to pay him $6 million more if he you don't waive him, and he's not playing anyway. I don't mind having Tyler. He's not who I would have signed in free agency though, not even for $13 million or even $5+ million, so I don't see a real reason not to stretch them unless people care a ton about "dead money" like it's theirs.

Now of course if an impact player wants to come here and they need the space then he's gone.

Just a number I've seen thrown around. As far as oubre who knows, he's far from a lock to get the QO. I'd bet one or more of him, Jackson, Warren are gone by mid July.bwgood77 wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:I'm not so sure he gets waived this summer. You mention $15 million. Are you assuming we renounce Oubre and keep our pick? Or don't renounce Oubre and trade our pick and don't take back salary? I saw $15 million mentioned by David Nash including holds for Oubre and Holmes, but he doesn't include a hold for the draft pick which would be like $7-$9.5 million.
So if we keep Tyler, Oubre, and Holmes, we will have $5-8 million in cap space I believe.

Then there is the story about him busting his teeth in college practice... which he promptly picked up from the floor, continued w/o missing a play.
I see a section full of Johnson fans with a blacked out tooth... well, as soon as we can fill up a section.
