This is the first time since 2010 (Amare departure) I felt heartbreak. Good luck to you Ricky, you always seem like a kind-hearted human and I genuinely wish you all the best.

Sorry for keep posting here, but in OKC board they didn't even make a welcome post to Ricky and Oubre...
Where they will end up at the end

On some of the forums here, you could completely take them over. Like the Pelicans, Rockets, Spurs, Grizzlies, etc....though he wont' go to the Grizzlies...probably not the Pelicans, but they might like him over Ball, and without Jrue who knows? OKC may like Ball next to SGA..don't know.
Ricky with Zion and Ingram would be fun though.

I really like Rubio and was my second favorite Suns player last season...
But very glad he ended up back to his first team where the fans will welcome him back with absolute delight

Re: Ricky Rubio appreciation thread
So disappointed that Rubio's time in Phoenix is up already.
I wanted him on the team since he came into the league. Always wished he could have joined us as a rookie and learned from Nash. That would have been amazing. I was so excited when he finally became a Sun last year and he had such a big impact. For for my money, last season's team was easily the most fun and enjoyable since the magical 09-10 team.
Especially after that brilliant 8 game bubble run, I wish we could have watched that chemistry continue for another whole season. Sadly it is not to be. I have never been a fan of CP3's game so I think that is also making the loss of Rubio sting that little bit more for me. I get why we made the trade...I mean let's face it, CP3 is the biggest name to have come to the Suns since probably Shaq over 10 years ago...but at the same time, I really hope we don't end up regretting this trade.
Anyway that is getting off topic a bit...best of luck to Rubio. Happy to see him end up back at the Wolves. Much better than the OKC rebuild.

I have not been following this week until I saw we drafted Jalen. I am a bit pissed we traded Rubio. I don't like Paul at all. I don't think he makes players better, and I don't like paying $80 mil to a 35 year old player not named Jordan.
Thank you Rubio for helping the Suns create a new culture. You came in, did your job great and helped make the Suns fun to watch again. I am not a player fan, but it will be nice to be able to watch him more since I live in MN.

I hope he comes back in 2 years. He should be still in his prime.

That would be nice. At some point the TWolves will want to start D'Angelo and Edwards at 1 and 2, if not already (though I expect Rubio to start for now at least).

Ricky Rubio - Suns Lied to me
Part of what makes the timing right is how things ended with the Suns. Rubio had built a strong relationship last year with coach Monty Williams, who like Saunders was the kind of open, communicative coach that Rubio appreciates. The Suns were the darlings of the Orlando bubble, going 8-0 and missing out on the playoffs by a whisker. Rubio was told in the offseason that he was part of the Suns’ plans moving forward as they built around Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.
But he was on the treadmill at his gym on Nov. 16 when he saw a tweet come across his feed.
“It’s not the way you want to know, especially my agent was talking with the team and they said my name was off the table when all the rumors and all the stuff happened,” Rubio said. “You feel like everything that they have said to you all year and buying into a new project and a young team and they need you, blah, blah, blah. It seems like nothing’s true.”
Rubio said he had no hard feelings about the move itself. He did not blame the Suns for wanting Chris Paul, whom he called a Hall of Fame point guard. But the way he found out stung him, and in some ways may have helped pave his way back to Minnesota.
