I'm proud of you guys. So far you've been turning the world upside down, and I for one can appreciate it.

...even though I'm a Nets fan, and you just DESTROYED US tonight. :(

But ONE THING I didn't expect to see tonight is Ricky-Fluffing-Rubio being such a dangerous shooter like that!

Also, I see your starters (plus the Johnsons, from the bench), just posted a pretty hefty, distributed scoring line, tonight:

12 - Saric
18 - Oubre
14 - Baynes
27 - Book her
22 - Rubio
15 - Cam J.
14 - Tyler J.

Now when you eventually make your way to Brooklyn, look out!

Otherwise-- congrats, dudes! I love how you've turned things upside down like you have, even in the tough West Conference.

Well done. :)

Thank you Gigantes. We have suffered through multiple disastrous seasons.

Good luck in the playoffs and when Durant comes back next year :)

Thank you!

But also-- did you guys have a feeling that things might come together like this?

Like, I was reading a stat analysis the other day, and it sounded like Baynes has actually been a real upgrade upon Ayton for the time being. Like, who the hell was expecting THAT?

Nobody was expecting Baynes to play this well. And in all honesty I think had we just resigned Holmes in the off-season, we'd look pretty disastrous right now. Baynes has been the glue guy holding our defense together. Offensively he's been great too.

I expected he would, I said it straight away, sometimes you see something in a player.

After game 2 of the season, I've been predicting 51 wins. I expect the suns to be right around there.

I think most people here were expecting the worst. However James Jones did an incredible job in the offseason. Rubio/Baynes were both huge pickups and Ayton/Jerome haven't really played this season.

Okay, not to perform *too* much thread-necromancy here, but I loved how the Bubble Suns ("the Bubblesons?") absolutely crushed it, and if there was an NBA-fan anywhere who wasn't heartbroken by the Suns missing the playoffs, I'd like to give that person a bunch of... fancy chocolate, I guess? :/

Bah.

Suns fans root for the Nets too due to so much SSOL being there.
Had nothing but great things to say about the effort your team gave until the end in the bubble.

Personally, I'm pulling for the Nets in the East as I grew up in NY. My first Suns game was in New Jersey. Jason Kidd was with you guys.
I have many friends who are Nets fans and while you'd never think about it by the immense talent they currently have, they're still a franchise that has never won it all. It'd be cool to see you take the whole thing (assuming you aren't playing Phoenix :) )

Always appreciated.

Personally I liked the Nets more last year...with their scrappy hard play...but I also love LeVert and really liked Allen. But Kyrie had always annoyed me as well as KD leaving OKC and then Harden had annoyed me too.

Though I like the way Harden is playing better now...and am kind of over KD too...but Kyrie....uhhhh..not sure...seems like he's accepted things though...except he probably doesn't admit to himself he's the 3rd best player on his team...that's gotta be a first for him.

I'm not a big Nets fan they have a ton of players that I dislike like Jordan, Harden, Irwing & KD but I adore Nash and Dantoni. With that said, Nets are only team capable of taking down the Lakers and holding Lebron to 4 rings. I can't even imagine Lebron winning his 5th and 98% of GB board making threads that Lebron solidified the #1 as GOAT..Nope, hold his a** to 4 rings and nothing more.

Good news Gigantes, if the Nets keep same core and add Drummond along with another decent defender they can finally win a ring within next 3 years. That's something Kidd, Jefferson, Kittles, Marin, Van Horn couldnt do in two final appearances against Lakers & Spurs. Keep your head up high your team will be the most interesting and watched team since the Heatles.

I think the Bucks, if clicking probably could, and possibly Boston if clicking, though Boston would have a hard time with their lack of bigs...I could see them making it though.

I would say Philly as they are probably the best but Simmons seems to choke sometimes in the playoffs, turning it over in crucial moments and stuff...if he's past that they would have a good chance because Embiid has the size, along with Howard backing him up to compete with their bigs. Bucks have it too with Giannis and Lopez...if they can shoot like they did in the first half against us in 4 games, they'd have a good shot.

Hate to diss my own team, but I totally agree with you.

Like, I really did love our whole "Brooklyn Grit" identity, our consistent, hard-nosed team effort across-the-board, and Marks' ability to find nice players all over the place, hardly ever giving up much for them.

Absolutely EVERYTHING has changed with the Harden trade. Like, not just losing Fro', Caris, and Prince (who was FINALLY growing in to what we needed), but giving away SEVEN unconditional #1's, picks and swaps in the deal.

I mean, holy shizzle-my-wizzle, it really was like going right back to our famously disastrous Prokhorov / Razumoff / King trade for an over-the-hill Garnett and PP. Because washed or unwashed, they were sadly over the hill. :/

Not that I dislike the Beard (he's amazing), but if there's ONE essential thing we needed to do in that trade it was to hang on to Fro (Jarrett Allen). Yet somehow, someway, we traded him instead of DWid (really nice player, but just redundant for us... not to mention injured).

Eh... as long as I'm bitching out my own team and fanbase though, I've borderline-HAD IT with Nets fans' unhappiness with Steve Nash's coaching.

As in-- dude is the rookiest of rookie coaches, and NATURALLY is going to take time to grow in to his role, and yet it seems like 80% - 90% Nets fans are outraged that he hasn't been fired yet.

FFS, man. Is it just N'Yorkers who are this assholey, or is it more of a general sports-fan thing? lol

Winning cures all. Once the Nets pickup a player or 2 from those who are bought out, and they find their chemistry, Nash's coaching won't be thought about.

We shall see, duderino. We.. shall.. see!

(Dang, I wish there was a markup here for doing voices. That one would have been said in a sort of ghost-like, doom-ish voice from Ebenezer Scrooge)

Also, man-- the flippin' SEVEN years of #1 draft picks given away is certainly not going to go away for... well, seven years. *gulp*

Figure Harden and Durant will extent after this deal. As long as they do, you'll be a title contender until then. You may lose a year or 2, but hopefully you can you got at least 1 ring out of it. The rest doesn't matter then.

Thanks dude! You'll always have a place on the Nets board, delightfully BS'ing us angsty Nets fans. :S
