Beautiful gamethread BW. Happy New Years to you and everyone else on this forum.

As for the game, I feel like if I dont watch it we win down the stretch but if I do get blown out by 20+. Pick your poison. Hehe

Are there any injury updates for the Lakers today?
I thought that Lebron was supposed to be out for at least a few games due to a groin injury.

I feel this. We were on a 7 game losing streak. I watched every game.
I left town and could not watch and bam, we win 2 in a row.
There have been games where I did not post here at all because I thought when I posted we would lose.
And if I physically go to the arena, I can guarantee a loss.
This has been going on for years. Sorry Suns fans. Its basically on me.

Thanks man! I was hoping that Lebron would be out for our game against them, But hopefully we pull this one out even if he's playing.

Just checked our schedule even though we won last two on the road. We haven't won a big time road game this whole season. Is tonight our first one?

We need Ayton to stay out of foul trouble, and we need to keep the Lakers' supplementary players from getting hot. Bradley has historically had a lot of success guarding Devin, and Green is too big for Booker to routinely take advantage of in the post.
An additional factor that makes this is a particularly tough game for us is the Lakers' depth at center. They're able to keep AD at the 4 as much as they want, which means we may have to play Saric more than we want, and to play Kaminsky rather than Cam/Oubre/Bridges at the backup 4.

Hard to imagine it will be worth what we'd give up on the glass and on defense to try to stretch them out with our usual small ball rotation.
I don't think we have the firepower to pull this one out. We'll have to be hitting on all cylinders. Can't turn the ball over. Gotta make all our open shots, and they gotta miss theirs.
I don't want to sound like a pessimist after such an encouraging win over Portland, but this one might just be too much for us.

I guess not choking the hornets game was supposed to be a "big" win for the injured suns.

I’d rather AD sit honestly. AD, with the combination of McGee & Howard, just makes it impossible to get any layups against them.
This is gonna be a tough one to win and rightfully so. I just hope we play hard and can live with whatever the results are.
More importantly, I hope nobody gets injured to start off the calendar year!

I just hope we can keep the streak going for the sake of the good luck charm. I have no idea who she is, but i will find her, and marry her.

I took PHX + the 12pts. I think Ayton will still be rusty, but will play ok overall. Think we should be able to cover the 12.

I'd feel better about this game if Ayton had the ability to draw fouls. Something all the great big man have had a knack for. Ayton shies away from contact. He needs to learn how to get hit.
