NBA(2k20) PHX Twitch Experiment

Mmmh...

For those who don't know yet:

The franchise had an idea:

Can't we play true bball due to virus?
Then we'll play 2K20 bball.

They organized a NBA2k20 game vs Dallas Mavericks yesterday between two gamers and they broadcasted it live by official Suns Twitch account.

I think that's a bright idea.
But I think it could be even better.

Why the negativity?
It's a fun concept. People use sports to unwind. There is literally nothing for people to watch as far as 'reality' goes. No Sports, no talk shows...
The Suns tried something different. People can tune into whatever they want if they don't like it

Right? I do like the idea of real players against each other with trash talking. Maybe even let people bet it online.

Exactly my point.
Apparently this first try was succesful in terms of Twitch numbers. But those are petty numbers in comparison with the audience of any regular Suns' game.

Most of the fans (as myself) aren't really interested in watching two gamers play a video game.
I don't have the slightest intention to check it again.

...unless they make it actually interesting.

The only thing I could find interesting enough would be if some Suns players were actually joining.

For instance: a game against TimberTrolls. DBook plays for us and Karl-Anthony Pueblos plays for them. They are good friends and play video games often together.
There would be trash-talking for sure.

I would certainly watch that.
Maybe I would eventually find it boring the same (I'm not a fan of those kind of video games... I'm more into historical RTS).

But I think it's worth to give it a shot.

I don't know if this mimic League will get any stars playing... but en rookies and sophomores are better than gamerss.
If somebody watched it and heard Ty or Okogie telling things worth to note, just say it.

I'll maybe check it later.

I see @SunsRback4Good is trying to start a regular Game Thread.
I ignore if worth it but hell... I'm not sure even if that's enough to justify this thread.

I'm mostly passing the official quarantine and State of Alarm decreed at Spain out of anime and RTS oldies (I'm now with Stronghold II and Imperium Civitas III).
