Amazing Bubble Performance

Post#1 » by SunsRback4Good » Wed Aug 12, 2020 1:36 am

Let's talk about our great bubble season and the memories we'll tell our grandchildren 30 years from now. Suns went all out but came out short. Thanks NBA, Thanks Blazers, Thanks Lillard, Thanks Trey Burke.

Grizzlies

If the Suns lose, they're out.

If suns win and Memphis loses and blazers win, suns are 9 seed. Would play blazers in play in game.

If Suns win and blazers and Memphis lose, suns are the 8 seed. Would play blazers in play in game.

Apparently if suns win and both blazers and grizz lose, AND spurs win, then the spurs make the play in game. Haven't checked but sounds legit.

Going to shut this thread down for now. There's plenty of discussion in the Path to Playoffs thread.

If we do lose then I'll open this back up and use this thread to discuss what a weird but ultimately positive season this was

Heck of a performance in the bubble. You got a bright future ahead of you. This will be a distant memory when you start next season ripping off a win streak.

The Grizzlies just robbed the world of possibly the greatest Cinderella story ever.

Hate to say it, it wasn't a great season. We finished 34-39

With Ayton not being suspended 25 games it would have helped Monty experiment with Rosters, etc

Re-title. Amazing Bubble Performance. This will build us confidence going into next year.

it's all relative, right? you want to see positive trends, and we definitely got that this season even before the pandemic. at no point we were on pace for 19 wins and we ended up doubling last year's win %. Now we know for sure we have what it takes to be a winning team.

Yes sir. Wonder what would have happened if we were 2-2 vs Memphis rather than 3-1. How would that have worked?

You called for the Suns to win 38 games. That's 4 wins away from your expectation with 8 less games played and as you mentioned, Ayton missing 25 of those games. If anything we would've hit .500

in that situation it probably would have been down to conference records next, which I believe we would have also lost.

actually 34-39 equates to 38 wins for an 82-game season. expectations met.

Maybe it's too presumptive but we've won 15 games more than last season. Throw in DA's suspension and we're easily a 20 game improvement from last season. That's significant for any team
