So happy that we didn't sign any headcase, immature or unprofessional player in FA/trades.

There were so many available for cheap this offseason... Cousins, Ariza, Portis, Markieff, Waiters...

Wow. Why wouldn’t they just start him at the 3 and have a big lineup?

Was going to say it's because he couldn't defend a broom at the 3 spot... but then he probably couldn't defend a broom at the 4, either. I'm probably being a bit harsh, though.. it might take one of those fancy electric sweepers to give him problems.

I like what the Hawks are doing. Always thought John Collins is one of the most underrated players in the league. Should be getting the comin-off-rookie-contract-max or close to it real soon. Trae is a superb offensive player and they put some guys around him to cover up his weaknesses and help him even more offensively.

Next time a guy talks about 'winning' before FA let's remember Gallo saying that then taking $20 mil from the Hawks to come off the bench.

It's always about the money

Atlanta could be pretty decent because they definitely have talent. Probably not the easiest coaching job because they have a lot of guys and a lot of young guys still trying to carve out their place in the league. That can definitely cause some friction if not handled well.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Why is Atlanta paying $20m for a backup though?

Yeah, a lot of people saying they like the Chris Paul signing mainly because of all the really good players he will get to come sign with us. Gallinari has stated he's the best leader he's played with. But yeah, he will take the money to play in Atlanta as a backup with Trae Young instead.

Wait a second. Gallo gets to sit on the bench and get paid 20M?

He would be an idiot NOT to take the deal.

Step one: sign lucrative deal.
Step two: demand trade to contender.
Step three: profit.

Word is that Atlanta is not sure it wants to pay John Collins what the market will dictate. He might be traded before the deadline.

Anyone think there will be a shakeup coming as far as trades. Houston splitting Harden and Westbrook? Wall not denying he asked for a trade? Ben Simmons sister hinting that something is coming? Dose Harden wind up in Philly, Westbrook winds up in Washington, Wall winds up in Houston (odd that his buddy Cuzz signed there), and Ben Simmons MAYBE wind up in NY???

Ok, I dont know who has the assets to get Ben but I also can't see how the Sixes have the assets to get Harden without giving up Ben.

I knew Jake Paul was going to win because he has more experience, height and reach on his side but I honestly didn't think Nate was going down like he did in the second.

props to Nate for even trying though!

That whole event was just weird and bizarre. I think boxing in general just looks super weird to me now though after watching MMA for so long now, though.
