Can we trust his outside shoot now? 41% hitting mostly for his left side.

Following Phoenix’s win at Barclays Center, Suns guard Chris Paul was asked by HoopsHype during his postgame media availability how he dealt with reported trade rumors for Irving. “Control what you can control,” Paul replied. “We’re pros. A team is always going to do what’s in their best interest, as they should. Players have to have that same mindset. People talk crazy about players when they do it.”

With Paul approaching 38 in May, he was also asked by another reporter how long he plans to continue playing.

“I never woke up and was like, ‘This is my last year. I’ve got one or two left.’” Paul said. “More than anything, I miss my family. My wife and kids have been in L.A. the last four years. That’s the only thing that’ll affect my decision.”

Paul’s $30.8 million salary is guaranteed for $15.8 million next season, and his $30.8 million salary for the 2024-25 season is non-guaranteed, per our HoopsHype Suns salaries page.

Well I guess we don't HAVE to trade him now.

Kevin Durant at All-Star Media Day said he thinks Chris Paul's enthusiasm for the game gets underrated and he emphasized how much CP3 just loves basketball. Said CP3 is already pulling him to the side a bunch during games and practices to point things out.

I can't wait to watch CP3 playing absolute unselfish basketball as a floor general. His scoring will not be needed so he can concentrate his effort on setting the table for our scorers.

I can see him averaging after the All-Star break 8 points and 15 assists per game.

Chris Paul's last 10 games: 95 assists, 12 turnovers. That's a 7.91 AST/TO ratio, unheard of. And overall in Year 18, he's posting a career high in that stat.

Nobody quite like him.

His defense was great. 3 steals, 3 blocks, deflections...Point God.

Gotta have him buck up when needed if we are to make anything out of these playoffs

Cant see trading him next yr. We dont have a clear path to replace him and the extra 15 mill to keep him shouldnt be a deterrent. Cant imagine a mid season deal either. Ayton could be on the block, but it shouldnt be a money thing either. Im expecting a stand pat with the regulars and filling in the gaps from the scrap heap. Yawn… but theres not many options

Really hard to fault CP3s effort out there. He's had some poor shooting and low offensive impact games but he's done a really great job of trying to offset with elite effort. The shortest guy on our team managed to grab 11rbs in G1 and he's been everywhere contesting for rebs, helping on defense etcetc

It's possible we've already seen him in his last game as a Sun.

If so, he had a stellar run!
It didn't end like one would've hoped but he helped put the franchise back on the map.
It's arguable he should be remembered most for his time in Phoenix.
