"It was a tough situation for us, because in order to acquire Chris, we had to move away from four guys that have helped build our culture,” Jones said Wednesday.
“It was a tough decision, but we knew we were getting exactly what you’ve seen over the last two days (with Paul already working out with Booker) — a Hall of Famer, an All-Star, a leader, a winner, a guy that lives and breathes basketball 24/7. And that’s the type of leader and personality that we need, those are the traits we want all of our guys to embody".
“It’s big for us not just because of Chris’ name but because of his game. We know we’ll get a guy who is here early, leaves late and will never let his teammates quit.”

On the latest "The Timeline" podcast, the guys from the OKC podcast join in and discuss Chris paul
They talk about Paul's extensive role in helping mentor SGA. It's pretty amazing how much Chris Paul put into mentoring him.
Kinda makes me wish we would have drafted a point guard. Not necessarily above Smith, but had we owned another pick, I think Paul could have done wonders for a rookie guard

Even though Booker is close to being a superstar (imo) he can still learn from a guy like CP3. CP3's mentorship won't be wasted in this team.

We can draft one next summer. 4 projected in lottery and 4 more in between 21 and 28 in what they say is a great draft class.

I hate CP3, but not gonna lie, after Lebron, Curry, and maybe Lillard, there is no better PG than CP3. I wish we could of got him. Anyways, I expect to see the Suns in the playoffs this upcoming season.

Nice interview with Christopher Paul, who plays the point guard position for the Phoenix based Suns basketball squad.
Chris Paul talks about why he chose the suns, his favorite meal and why his highschool coach nicknamed him "dancing bever".

Listening CP3 talks about that lob city Clippers team i kinda understand why he wanted to come to Phoenix. I think he believes that this Suns roster is pretty similar to that team but it can achieve more than them. They had spacing issues with DJ-Blake front court, never had a scorer like Book and chemistry was off. Now when you look at our roster CP3 has his pick&roll partner with Ayton. He can drive to the rim, finish the lob and also play pick&pop. He will have shooters all around him and a superstar that he can rely on with Book. Like this squad is kinda a mix between Rockets and Clippers team he had played before but with better chemistry and hunger. (i hope) I really try to calm myself but without any critical injuries sky is the limit for this year.

He just has played a couple of preseason games for us but are enough to understand how great he can be for the organization.
He did not shoot well, but in the last game he showed flashes of how he can dominate a game without scoring. His passing, his communication, his defense...I enjoyed a lot his defense on Schroder in the third quarter.
Really good on deflections, bodying up, contesting shots, boxing out and a lot of intangibles that make him a great defender even at his age.

I think that he is gonna lead the league in assists this season. That would be the 5th time in his career.

A lot of fans were worried about CP3's health when we traded for him and he has shown in the first 10 games of the season that he is fine.
We have played already three back-to-backs. We have won every second game of those back-to-backs and he has played all three averaging 14.7 points, 9.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 31 mpg.
Props to him because he works hard to be in a very good physical condition and that will extend his career for sure.

Would love to see those minutes drop down to 26-28, especially on b2b's, but that's all going to be dependent on whether we're winning or not. This isn't a team that can afford to take the foot off the throttle - we don't have the winning heritage (anymore) to support any kind of coasting this year.
