Nice deal considering market. Higher than many thought who were thinking about 3/21, but not as high as he was likely looking for. We were about $13 million under the tax though so this allows us to stay under even if we use the BAE.

Yeah, I wonder if that math was worked out deliberately. Give him the most money that still allows us to operate under the tax if we need one more pickup. Seems like it may have been as his signing came at the end of our main moves

I like Dario and hope he's here for a long time but another added bonus of this contract is it's right around that $10 mil sweet spot of nba contracts where it fits into a ton of trade options down the road. Lots of vets make something in this range.

A Croat who's first name starts with D, but last name is not Bender. Keep him.

Good signing, he is a decent rotation player and as stated before this is the type of contract you can stack a couple of to make a max salary slot if an opportunity for a big trade comes along.

Wish Dario can show more of his playmaking this season especially with the second unit missing a good playmaker at the PG position.

That's a solid deal for both sides I think. Preferred it at around $7m but full MLE for a versatile player in his prime who can still get better is worth it. I love all these three year deals too.

Based on contracts being handed out this free agency, I was expecting more that $27m so was pleasantly surprised when I saw the news. (although $7m/yr would have been nicer obviously)
