Jae Crowder questionable to play because he entered training camp later, other than him everyone is available for the Suns.

We will see the first lob between CP3 and Ayton? I would say YES.

Monty said that starters will play around 15-18 minutes, so this is a good chance to watch some more unknown players like Jalen Smith, Nader, Jones...

Keen to get a look at the bench backcourt options - Payne, Carter, Galloway, Moore.

Last season once we got that right in the bubble we accomplished about a 400 point swing compared to previous combinations. If that can be sustained to a reasonable extent we can replicate our bubble form, otherwise we'd have a heavy dependency on Paul (like Rubio) which will likely cost us for stretches.

Also keen to see if Smith can be NBA ready as I'd prefer Saric not have to defend the rim for 20 minutes at C.

Upside stretch - Maybe Cam Johnson showing flashes of Klay Thompson, wonder if he has the aggression as a scorer capable of going off for 15 points in 8 minutes rather than maxing out as a role player.

Otherwise just hoping our core players don't get covid or injuries from a shortened turnaround so we can be full strength to take on a Doncic led team to start the season.

Very exciting to walk into a season knowing that we most likely have a playoff bound team for the first time in a long time. Teams will no longer see the Suns on the schedule and think its an easy win.

Can’t wait to see Cam Payne continue his hot streak.

Should be a tough game, Jazz have most of their players coming back from last year.

This team seems to be a group, from top to bottom, of skilled players with extremely an extremely solid work ethic. There is a maturity to every player when they do interviews.

Except maybe Ayton, and he is coming along too.

It is OK to rest some players here or there in preseason, we can not play 16 guys.

If we rest CP3, Crowder, Saric and Cam Johnson we will be 12 deep. Some minutes to Motley and Alexander.

This game was mostly about seeing the reserves anyway, still sucks biggest injury concern CP3 is out.

Also Cam appears as an injury concern in general, so Crowder being the starter seems more and more as the logical choice.

I like Payne, so its fine with me as long as cp's injury is not major.

I imagine it'll be more helpful for CP3 to start ramping up in the 3rd and 4th preseason game. We know what he'll give us on a nightly basis.

This is a good opportunity to try out a lot of different lineups to figure out the backup PG/playmaker spot.

Wishing we could see CP3, but I'm stoked to see Galloway, Moore, Alexander, and Smith

Do some teams get fewer pre season games? Just noticed that the Nets only have 2 pre season games while we have 4. Or am I missing something?

I think it is based on team's preference so yeah it can change from team to team.

Yeah, I would probably not play Paul in preseason...he will not be a problem not having played in preseason to hit the ground running in the regular season, learning player tendencies in practice and watching the games.

He will probably play limited minutes in 1 or 2 though.

But yes, this will especially help the new guards and Payne acclimate themselves with our other players since they have not played much with them...just in practice or the bubble..Payne mostly playing with Carter...maybe a bit with Booker and Rubio, but still limited time with many of our guys given it was only 8 games.

But more excited to see Moore and Galloway. And Stix.

calling it now the best play of the game will be a lob from Cam to Ayton.

Cody Zeller looking like he's 45 years old.
