Key tonight imo will be foul trouble and Ayton playing very well.

Luka is among the best at drawing contact even sometimes when contact isn’t there. If we lose Bridges/Crowder to foul trouble then we’re in trouble. Same with Ayton considering our bench depth.

Secondly, Ayton has to take advantage of playing against a Mavs team that’s playing without Porzingis. He needs to get it in his head that he’s gonna be the biggest player on the court (unless they play Boban mins) and if they do play Boban then Ayton better take advantage with his quickness.

Excited to see how the CP3/Book backcourt plays in a meaningful game!

But then I realized the suns probably don't have Paul right now without that terrible signing.

Yup! Absolutely hated the Ariza signing, but we were able to flip it for an asset.

Bledsoe is a bigger Suns villain.
Unpopular opinion but other than that tweet I really don't have much issue with most of that Bledsoe situation.

He supposedly wanted an extension that summer, which considering his health and also how bad the team was I think it was a reasonable ask. The suns said no, also reasonable considering Bledsoes knee. At that point he asked for a trade, reasonable considering the circumstances. The mistake was not trading him that July, having an unhappy Bledsoe around was always a recipe for disaster but McD had zero sense for that kind of thing.

Mavs is a great team but we match up well with them and got the better of them recently. They didn't have a lot of strong wing defenders to slow down Book and even with Porzingis, Ayton still have huge advantage with his size and also even though Doncic is an offensive juggernaut Mikal definitely can slow him down. Now they have better defenders to throw at Book but still i don't think they have the right personnel to contain him. I remember the game where Book and Ayton destroyed the Mavs last year and i never understood why Carlisle didn't go big with Boban and bigger guards instead they were trying to stop Book with guys like Curry and Brunson which was sad to watch. Now if Ayton starts the game well i really want them to put Boban at the game so we can run the offense through Paul and let him torture Boban with switches.

Key to the game

-Taking advantage of Ayton/Powell matchup

- Let Mikal defend Doncic and don't double him. We wouldn't want their shooters to get into rhythm

-Transition defense was bad in the pre-season against a team like Mavs we need to do a better job at getting back to defense

Let's go Suns!

If Ayton has a great game - you know he's going to coast the next game.. and vice versa. Just keeping with the tradition of Festivus and aired my grievances.

On a brighter note, suns basketball is back! LETS GET IT. I only ask for entertaining basketball and incremental improvements over the course of the season! Oh and a top 6 spot in the west 8-)

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

How come magic had nearly 4k fans in attendance while everyone else had none? I thought fans would be let into arenas a month to two from now.

Can we be serious?? We know Chris Paul is going to take a few games off for load management, plus by the end of the year the seeding may be in place so we probably rest guys a couple game before playoffs. 63-9.
