Their strengths are 3 point shooting and bench, our perimeter defense will be vital.

So If monty goes for his normal rotations and CP3 is pulled early this might be a game where Carter gets some minutes to defend scary terry.

Then just play Mikal on on Hayward all game.

We got this.

Speaking of Carter. Who else is disappointed by him this season? After the bubble I had much bigger expectations for him.

The only position they have an advantage on us is SF but that is negated somewhat by Bridges being our best perimeter defender. Rozier had a nice season but up against Booker and I think the C and PG advantages we have are substantial.

Carter not playing is symptomatic of two things:
1. We are really good
2. He shot poorly in a small sample when he was fighting for minutes

Other than his poor shooting he has played fine.

Per36 #s of
4.2 assists to 0.7 turnovers
2.3 stocks

That’s quite good, although his foul rate is a mite high.

Hasn’t played much but when he has, I have not seen the same tenacity he played last year on defense. He was a big reason why we went 8-0 in the bubble. Him and Cam Payne were so fun to watch off the bench. Our team is just so deep this year, hard to find him minutes.

Very early game too, I hope boys get caffeinated before and not sleepwalk through the first half.

Carter shooting 39% from 3 at 11 points per 36 in his last 270 minutes, his first 4 games similar to Booker skewed his stats. Having said that can probably only play one of Craig / Carter in that defensive role.

DRTG better this year and stock rate only slightly down.
He has been roughly the same defensively this year. Skewed to garbage time minutes tho.

No Monk is big for us, like a kid who doesn't want to do Buddhism.
