Very similar situation when Pistons held out Darko Milicic in RS before unleashing his 1.8 ppg for the playoffs. ;)

Smith couldn't do much worse than our bench, right? The bench in 73 minutes total combined for 20 points ( 7/25 fg 28% shooting). Probably worst bench performance all season long.

I bet they come out strong against Utah especially 0-6 Saric. ;)

Also watching Ayton's highlights it looks like they were going thru him late 2nd and 3rd quarters and he was dominating. As I have said in the Ayton thread I'm expecting more of this next season when they focus on his offensive game.

Their starters are way better then Thunder G-Lesgue starters we faced. Woods, Olynyk, Bradley, Porter and Augustin are good to decent players.

I mentioned it in the game thread vs Raptors, but Smith's appearance on the court is so close to Chris Boucher, who has come to the league at 24 and had 0, 3.3, 6.6, 13 ppg averages in first four seasons. While Jalen will not be of much help in the playoffs, I would not right him off as a future key role player on this team.

Just take the W and move on - thats how I viewed last night. I think the Suns will be mentally more prepared against the Jazz or they will be beat by a big margin.

Good game from Ayton - liked his free throw numbers

They keep showing the Dikembe Mutombo Geico commercial on the stream I am watching.

Whenever they start showing a commercial they really overdo it. I get that one and the AT&T showdown between the new customer and existing customer.

Sometimes those ice cream rappers.

The geico Dikembe Mutombo commercial came back out of nowhere. I seen it many times 3+ years ago now its back again.

I love that commercial. My neighbor sounds exactly like Dikembe, its crazy.

Really hope this is something that continues especially in games against opponents without any good Cs. Last two games against HOU and OKC were great examples of it and Ayton took advantage.

I also hope when we face teams with solid centers, Ayton attacks the rim, and gets boards. It will force teams to pack it in, leaving guys open. I like games were Ayton just goes after the ball, and doesn't need to have plays run for him, or dropping it in to get him going.

It all comes down to confidence. When he goes against guys like Valaciunas, Nurkic, Adams, Gobert etc he plays differently than he does in the last two. He has the ability to do just as well against those guys, just a matter of if he can put it together mentally.

I think tomorrow will be a great test and hopefully he has a strong game.

Agreed. His strong performance last night was nice after he missed two open layups to start lol
