Portland 9-1 in their last 10 games. Not coincidentally this is the first 10 (15) games when their 3 best / most important guys (Lillard, CJ, Nurkic) have all played together this season, and they have been killing teams. They need the game if they wanna face the Nuggets instead the Clippers - but they are on a B2B. Could be a good game if we finally show up - could be more of the same if we do not. At this point we don't really have anything to play for, we are not moving from 2nd place.

Frustrating to know that we had a real chance to get the 1 seed but slumped at the wrong time. Instead we are likely to get the 2 and Lakers. What an awful twist to end the season.

I would play this one like a playoff game. The Spurs games I would do that though. Tonight is our last chance to hurt LA's chances at the 7. After that, we can't control anything. I don't think LAC will want to play the Lakers either so they aren't going to win enough to catch us IMO

OK so 2 things we can root for.

1. Suns win out. Jazz lose one more game. = Suns get 1 seed
2. Lakers win out, Blazers lose to Phoenix and Denver = Lakers get 6 seed.

3. Suns rest players next 3 games and face Lakers in first round beating them in 7 games.

I'll take option #3 sir.

My gut feeling is they go all out to win tonight, and win on Saturday.

Monty will probably rest Booker, CP3, Ayton, and Bridges all on Sunday (either not play them at all, or play VERY limited minutes).

We could also lose, fall to 3rd and then get Dallas (more likely if we wind up losing) or Portland.

It will be interesting at least to see how the team comes out tonight.

LAC has: @Charlotte, @ Houston, @OKC (all winnable, even if they rest players).

We could win tonight and rest players the last 2 games and they could catch us. That actually may be our best hope to avoid LAL. Or LAL catches Portland too and we're F'd again.

Agreed. Most seem to think we are locked into the 2 seed. It seems much more likely that we fall to 3 in my opinion. Especially with our remaining schedule and probable rest of players in that 2nd Spurs game. We also haven't been playing great recently either. We lose 2 out of our remaining 3 and Clippers win out and we're the 3 seed.

assuming we win tonight, we have the luxury of seeing how Utah's next game goes against OKC. if they win that game as expected, it becomes more straightforward to drop to 3rd.

also, Clippers play tonight before we do, so we will know whether they win or not. if they lose, we can't really drop to 3rd assuming we beat the blazers.

What's the point of resting any of our guys? Our last game is on 5/16 and our first playoff game won't be until 5/22 at the earliest, probably 5/23 if we're the #2 seed....that's 6 or 7 days of rest already built into the end of the season before the playoffs start.

Yeah with the play in teams get a nice little break. Now once there's nothing to play for the suns should sit guys like Paul, Booker, Ayton, and Bridges simply for injury avoidance.

Hell depending on how tonight goes you might not even bring those guys to SA.

I'd want at least the last game to sit our main guys (imagine Book or Paul tore a knee in that game?).
Give guys like Moore, Galloway, and friends playing time to get some rust out
