Eyes on Ayton. Is he going to be the player we saw in playoffs?

Can't believe we're already at the beginning of the new season. I will have to adjust to regular season basketball and not overreact so hard to a single game or get so worked up over it like in the playoffs lol

Is Murray back? I thought he was still recovering from the injury.

What are peoples thoughts on how many minutes Stix gets, if any? Will he be a regular rotation piece now?

I'm sure he'll get some minutes tonight in the 4th.

It would be nice to get a W to start the season in the win column. With the Lakers on Friday, I hope well pull this one out.

JaVale McGee revenge game incoming

Great opportunity for Ayton to come out with his hair on fire against a team he's played very well against throughout his career after the drama of the last few days. They're definitely a good team, but Nuggets fans on Twitter seem unconvinced of the thorough ass whooping we laid on them in the playoffs. I'd love it if we could do it again to kick off the season.

If you ask me, this season is our best shot at winning it all in the foreseeable future. We had our deep playoff heartbreak, brought back our entire rotation, and built a stronger and deeper roster in the offseason. CP3 and Crowder aren't getting any younger. Booker, Ayton, Bridges, and Cam are starting to come into their primes, but are also young enough that we can still expect them to take a step forward this year. We're about to be waist deep in the luxury tax after this season, it might be tough to be this deep at every position again going forward.

I'm jacked up for this season. 7 PM can't come soon enough.

Based on preseason he's 3rd string, so zero unless there's garbage time.

Didn’t James Jones or Monty say during summer league that he will definitely be a part of the rotation?

I'll be really disappointed if he's not at some point this year. I'm willing to bet Frank gets those minutes for now and eventually they go to Smith. But IMO, now, more than ever, it's the time to throw him in.

I think, whatever it was they said, didn't indicate that he would necessarily be part of the rotation to begin the year, but definitely at some point this year.

Paul 32
Booker 35
Bridges 33
Crowder 27
Ayton 32

Payne 16
Shamet 15
Nader 11
Johnson 23
McGee 16

No chance Smith cracks that right now.

What are you talking about? Everyone will, especially if someone like Ayton has a bad game.

Hopefully it doesn't go like it did for the Chargers on Sunday.

My main concern in every game is avoiding a Jamal Murray or AD type injury...the list goes on but so many teams have had to deal with big blows. Sooner or later I imagine we will have to.

I think one of the great things about our roster is that we are, mostly, designed to be able to withstand a blow to nearly anyone as long as it's not season ending. The biggest concern would be Ayton only because McGee is used to playing 15 minutes per night and fouls like it too. Other than that, I think we can weather an injury to any of our other rotation pieces fairly well. We won't be as good of course, but I think we can manage to keep our heads above water.

Yeah, Ayton certainly hurts the worst, but Paul not terribly far behind. After that people can slide up and down pretty well and Nader is there for emergency. Someone mentioned 11 minutes for him. I don't think he needs to play very many minutes, if any. I hope Cam gets plenty. No need to shoe horn a 10th player in there for minutes unless needed..maybe on a b2b night..and of course blowouts.

But I'm mainly talking like if we had a torn ACL to a one of our key 3 players
