Didn't he get injured just before jumping up?

Denver only beat Houston by 1. Doesn't feel quite as bad as struggling with them.

Random observations:
Ant Simmons is finally balling, like he was hyped up to be two years and one year ago... He could really help the Blazers if he continues to develop.

I don't trust the Jazz in the playoffs, regular season success or not. Not until they win one-two tougher matchups in the actual playoffs for one or two years.
That being said, if there was a sneaky good offseason it was theirs. Whiteside is trash, but perfect for that specific bench role after Gobert, and he is their least important addition to that bench. The other is Paschall who can be effective in a small-ball lineup. He has his ups and downs, but he is a smart ex-Villanova guy who understands the game, and his impact can go beyond the box score.
The third and most important off season addition is Rudy Gay - who hasn't even played yet due to injury rehab. If he gets back and he is good, they could have an OK small-ball lineup, and with that they could be scary good, becouse they can roll out pretty much anything.

Everyone misses shots but dang this is funny to me

That's something I would do in-game at the local rec league. The pressure of finishing an open lay up sometimes played in my mind a bit too much

Cole Anthony was a guy I heard a ton about and saw a lot on social media working out pre-draft but he had a bit of a so-so rookie campaign so I didn't follow him too much but he's having a great start to his sophomore season.

Cole Anthony would’ve been a nice CP3 replacement in 2 years…

Evan Mobley was really bad against us, but he's been seriously impressive outside of that. He played really well against the Knicks today, he's going to be a really good player.

Yeah I liked him going into the draft, but he was a somewhat risky draft pick after an underwhelming season on one of UNC's worst teams in recent history. He was decent for a rookie guard on a tanking team last year, and it seems like he's taken a step forward this year. Love his energy, his post-game interviews are hilarious lol.

Michael Porter out with back injury 9 games into season having signed a 5 year max.

Even with all the incentives and non-guarantees, it's going to be a tough contract to deal with if he's out for a significant amount of time at any point in those 5 years.

It's kind of weird how they are playing so well with that lineup. It's also weird where one game Jarrett Allen will have monster numbers and Mobley decent, and in the next Mobley awesome ones and Allen doesn't do too much. Just weird how well it's worked with basically 3 7 footers starting with 2 small guards....where most teams figure in today's games the best thing is to load up on switchable wings.

More than 1 way to play the game I suppose. Allen, Mobley, and to a lesser extent Markkanen flying around protecting the paint makes scoring more difficult, and not much more you can ask for than to contest 3s. They're all pretty capable offensively too. It will be interesting to see what the long term plan looks like for the Cavs.

:o
Risky business for the nuggets!
This being the same injury concern that caused teams to pass on him and he fell to the 14th pick back in 2018.

Just here to say MoBros are still trash. Don't even know which one is on the Heat, but I still hate their thugish gut.

Even outside the obvious and scary health issues I thought that was a risky contract. Sure he has a ton of offensive talent but if he doesn't improve his D he's a liability in the playoffs. The suns bum hunted him in that series as bad as I've ever seen.

This is how I underestimated GSW:

They finished the regular season 17-5 last year after fine tuning their system to play without Thompson and are now 10-1. They got better by not having Oubre and Wiseman so far and added Bjelica, Porter, Iguodala who are all at 122/123 O-Rating.

Softish schedule but teams that start like this typically go on with it, if Thompson comes back at 80-90% they're looking like the team to beat for the West.
