And that's great but if he freezes out the rest of players he is gonna have to have 70. That's also on 27 shots so not all that efficient, he should take the most shots but 30 plus a game hurts the team concept, it's James Harden in Houston

14 makes on 25 shots or 56% shooting

Ok, that's still James Harden type numbers need to have teammates going too just saying

Cp3 playing too many minutes lately. Clearly doesn't have his legs on these shots

Similar to last game. Clarkson hit 3 straight 3's. He's hit 3 that were well defended. Nothing you can do outside of ball denial at this point.

Yeah, I'd typically rather the shots be more equally distributed because if Book gets used to it he ends up with the 5-23 game, or even 14-35 like last game.

His overall scoring efficiency is lower than each of the last 4 years and he's taking more shots than ever. His TS% is 54.8% and league avg is 55.7%. A couple of years ago it was almost at 62% and last year it was 58.7%, his second most efficient year.

He is shooting better from 3 than his last 3 years but that's been declining too.

It's nice he usually starts off strong but sometimes it tends to not get others going, and if they are not involved in the offense they get cold and it can sometimes be harder to stay fully engaged on both sides. It basically happens to every player who is not a primary ball handler. Typically our guys stay engaged on defense but you want them to remain in the flow of the offense as well and not have to take a big shot when they haven't taken one all quarter.

Because the only guy that can guard him is sitting on the bench.

Not sure it would matter. Clarkson is taking bad shots and making them. Those are the shots that there's not much you can do about.

Yup. Should have gone to Elf instead of Shamet. Payton played Clarkson great. Every time Clarkson is defended by anyone else it looks way too easy.
