I think we're going to make a statement against them tonight after our last effort against them. Have to think we have this team circled on the calendar to make up for the last one.
I expect a 15+pt win

Not the same with Ingram out tonight. He had like 30, 5 and 5 or close to it last time.

Valaciunas dominated the boards and had 17 rebounds in our last matchup though. Ayton had 5 rebounds in the same amount of minutes.

Pelicans had 16 offensive rebounds as a team. Suns had 7.

Valanciunas is as good as Ayton rebounding the ball (1.4 more rebounds per game than Ayton so far this season) but he is a joke on defense. He does not have any mobility, just watch his hips trying to adjust in defense.

They are much worse without Ingram.

If Valaciunas creates more offensive opportunities from offensive boards then it negates Ayton’s defensive ability because teams will just keep getting offensive boards over and over again till they score.

Also speaking of mobility, McCollum scored plenty last time on Ayton switches. Similar to Middleton in the last Bucks game. I think bigs in general can’t be relied to stay with guards doesn’t matter if it’s Ayton, Embiid or Davis.

17 to 5 rebounding disadvantage from starting C is unacceptable and I’m sure Ayton himself knows it. Similar to how he balled out after that **** Knicks game, I’m hoping he will dominate the glass tonight.

Well, you are talking about just one game in a 82-games season.

Ayton is probably already a better rebounder than Valanciunas, he is better than him looking their career numbers. Ayton hasn't even started his prime, just imagine how great he can be at rebounding in three or four years.

On switches every C in the league is gonna struggle but Ayton can get some stops against perimeter players, he is one of the best at that.
Valanciunas can't stop anyone, that's a huge difference.

I think you thought I said Valaciunas is better than Ayton. I didn’t. I simply said Ayton needs to do a better job against him on the boards than he did last game.

We've got to get this one. We simply cannot have a repeat of what happened last time.

Ayton can't be getting beat off the dribble by Jonas from the 3 point line

Hoping to see some Biz at the 4 again in this game. They have a big front court with Val and Hayes out there.

Need to test that line-up leading up to the playoffs, because I'm pretty sure the scouting report is out on us that we can be bullied on the boards when playing against bigger line-ups.
