Do we think the Crowder situation was manufactured to stir up trade possibilities? Instead of the Suns saying they are trading him, maybe now other teams think they can actually get him?

In other words
"pack your bags Jae - you gone!""

I would tell Crowder to shut the twitter talk or we will hang onto you and you can stay at home or tell him to wait until deadline.
Not because I actually would, but to get him to cut it out.
Teams may lowball us thinking we have to trade him.
Or we can dump him to a crap team like Utah or SA to take a longer contract vet contract off their hands since they are rebuilding.

The Suns culture -if you will - with Jones and Williams is top shelf. They seem like two very fine upstanding people
I am still glad the Suns didn't make the durant trade. Well it sounds like there was no chance anyway. But I like this group of players and will enjoy the season. Do I think they win 64 games again? I don't think so
But I don't think mid 50's is out of the question - and hopefully Monty is right about Ayton. Take his game to a new level so that means Monty has to make sure the big guy gets the ball plenty of times per game. Keep feeding DA

Watching the press conference, Chris Paul looks a little bigger, not sure if this a good thing.

Jones' math is: 4 straight finals losses + second round exit with blowout game home 7 - jae - McGee + LONDALE + OKOGIE + LEE = WE HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO COMPETE BABY!!!!

I cannot understand either how media can make up that the Suns said to Crowder that his starting position was compromised or that the Suns indeed told him that his starting position was compromised.
I believed jobs and roles are given when a coach sees the shape and attitude of the players during training camp.
Also losing your starting role could mean nothing as long as you play 24 minutes and play the final parts of important matches.
Aside from that, I do believe that Crowder needs an upgrade in the team (I have been saying this for 2 seasons now) and I also believes that Johnson is not any kind of upgrade over Crowder.
If we are going to trade Crowder for a pick and and some player in the 10th row of the rotation to play Johnson from the beginning, then I believe we are getting worse as a team.
If we are trading Crowder to get a starter and Johnson will keep coming off the bench for either forward spot, then we are going to be better.
Then, what players could come here to play PF and be an upgrade over Crowder at this point. I am sure we do not need a superstar, iike Randdle of the likes. A guy who can defend, rebound, help, shoot and understand team defense and who can shoot over people (and not behind them and from 4 point territory to not be intimidated) will do.
