Better overall TV villain? Negan ( Walking Dead) or Heisenberg ( from Breaking Bad) ?
Just wanted to pose this question to our very knowledgeable forum members for Gits and Shiggles! Which TV villain character out of Negan and Walter White ( Heisenberg) are more badazz, mastermind, nefarious?? And is there any other considerations for biggest and most hated TV villain that you'd add? Lastly, what makes your choice the most badass villain of them all?

I can’t comment on Walking Dead because I only watched 2-3 seasons of it before I found it to be repetitive.
But Heisenberg, for me, isn’t really a true villain because even though we knew what he was doing was wrong, I feel like most viewers were still rooting for him and on his side.
A villain has to be someone that most everyone truly hates and for me, that’d be Gus as the poster above mentions as well.

I have a bunch of bigger time villains.
Ramsay Bolton and King Joffrey (both pure evil)...
Simcoe from TURN and Joan Ferguson from Wentworth also come to mind as being evil.

Yeah! It's kind of funny that it was framed that way towards Heisenberg being viewed through the lens of being a villain in our discussion. He's the ultimate underdog that you have to root for right or wrong due to what he's endured. Really gives empathy for the bad guy which was a really cool twist! Maybe I should've framed it more as the most badass underdog bad guy villain type character or something?? But I love Heisenberg!!!!!

Yeah! I definitely hear ya on that man! I've actually had a few young ( early 20s') egoist bosses that only achieved that position through nepotism. And oddly enough, they really mirrored King Joffrey's petulant and maniacal behavior! Great choices by the way man..................

You've now inspired me to binge watch GOTs' again this weekend!

Just on those two I say Negan. His redemption arc is cool. Though I'm not fully caught up on Walking Dead, I think I'm a season behind or something to that affect. Heisenburg wasn't really a villain in my eyes. He started going down a dark path but it's at least understandable. Negan was a jerk, but I can also see why he did things the way he did, however he did cross the line... a lot.
As for other villains, I enjoyed Banshee and thought Proctor was a very well written villain. I will need to rewatch this show again because it's so good.
Plus it has Anthony Starr in it and its cool to see him playing this role versus the role he plays in that superhuman show on Amazon.

Great response man! You're right about Negan and also about Heisenberg too! Banshee is one of my brothers' favorite shows too. Along with Wolf cop! Although I haven't seen either just yet. I understand not being fully caught up on WD too as it's hard sometimes with life being so hectic and busy at times! Definitely have to binge-watch both again though once things slow down some! Thanks for the awesome response.

Re: Better overall TV villain? Negan ( Walking Dead) or Heisenberg ( from Breaking Bad) ?
I gave up on TWD the season before Negan came on (actually I saw the finale where he lined them up and was going to kill one with his bat), and I actually liked the actor a lot...had seen him in some other good roles. But I watched the first episode of the season I think he was going to be full time for the first time on, and it was Rick in like a dream sequence on a bus for awhile and I finally just decided I had had enough. It had been up and down for me and I thought the first season was far better quality than what came after and then it had some good and bad seasons or decent and bad episodes/seasons. So many better shows out there, including just about every other AMC show that has come out in the past decade or so.

AMC shows typically don't over stay their welcome, but that might be because Walking Dead was so huge it bankrolled everything else.bwgood77 wrote:I gave up on TWD the season before Negan came on (actually I saw the finale where he lined them up and was going to kill one with his bat), and I actually liked the actor a lot...had seen him in some other good roles. I couldn't make it the Negan seasons of Walking Dead, I stopped watching around season 4. But Lalo in Better Call Saul was an amazing villain, my favorite villain in the Breaking Bad universe.
I Dont wanna be here

Yeah, it and Breaking Bad may have bankrolled TURN: Washington's Spies and Halt & Catch Fire, two shows that got much better after the first season but because of a slow build in the first seasons didn't pick up a ton of viewers for a season 2. I didn't watch either for forever but they are two of my favorite shows ever. I enjoyed Into the Badlands too but it might be more of a guilty pleasure for all of the action, martial arts and choreography/scenery.

Yeah, I think Lalo was one of the best...I actually posted somewhere that it had two of the best supporting actor/actresses duos out there in him and Kim Wexler who I loved.

Either of you guys ever watch Boardwalk Empire? I always thought Gyp Rossetti played by Bobby Cannavale from season 3 was an all timer. They kinda ruined the end of that season with a "deus ex machina" but still Gyp was a great, nasty villain imo.

Damn man! I forgot about that show! So many great shows I need to binge again/ watch uninterrupted for the first time. The worst is when you find a truly great show but have to leave it and come back to it sporadically because of schedule, workload or other obligations and occasionally losing sequence or rythym in the flow of the movie. But another truly great add here man! Thanks man!

Actually I didn't and i really like Buscemi and Cannavale. I probably should. Going back and watching AMC shows over the last decade and sticking with them, like the ones I watched, and I also really liked Into the Badlands. That one was probably not as high quality but the fights were so amazing I really enjoyed it, and it was a unique story about an apocalypic society. Kind of a cross between like GoT and The 100. Not really a main villain though. I loved the character The Widow. But I felt like for a futuristic apocalyptic show it was miles better than The Walking Dead.

Banshee was good, though I probably liked the producers' second show, Warrior, better.
