Poll is up.
If I didn’t list your team you may list it down below and reason why you’d follow them if Suns never became a franchise and you chose that specific team to root for.

Nice man! I just read Zion is 50/50 after suffering back contusion. He already missed Mavs game but likely might play against Phoenix. On the other hand Ingram suffered a concussion and should be out.

You know what's funny, I never actually thought of this question in the context that the Suns never existed. Though I suppose, growing up in Phoenix, the closest team being the Lakers I'd probably have routed for them. Especially because I became a closet Kobe fan, and actively hated him too since he chose the Lakers over the Suns in 2003. Since you didn't have the Lakers listed, maybe the Bulls because of Jordan? I remember seeing Jordan to the Max on IMAX in downtown Phoenix for I believe my 13th birthday. Since I live in Portland now I have become a Blazers fan too, though I suppose I just don't actively not root for them, I more so just watch them if they are on and enjoy watching Lillard.

I have to think of who I would have liked when I was young in like late 80s. Lakers were super exciting with Magic, Worthy, Scott, Kareem, etc, but hard to imagine rooting for them. I actually pulled for the Pistons against them in the finals.
Honestly it seems like I probably would have become a fan of the Sonics at the time and maybe that would have translated over to OKC. Since I like building through draft I would probably enjoy following them.
I was a big fan of the Kings in 2002 when the Suns were not so good...the way they played and really pulled for them against the Lakers. I really liked them from like 2001-2004. Obviously not more than the Suns, but as a playoff team. Than I always loved KG so I liked the Wolves that year they were great...they actually went to 7 against that Kings team and it came down to the end. I remember Webber (who I also really liked) hugging KG...Webber was emotional.
Kings kind of got screwed, especially Webber. The refs crushed them in one game with the foul discrepancy in the 2002 WCF. Also I remember watching game 4 at Moondoggies in San Diego and Kings were up 2-1 and up at the end of the game by 2 when Divac blocked an attemped game winning shot but unfortunately he blocked it and it bounced straight to Horry who hit a 3 at the buzzer to tie the series at 2-2.
So Kings looked to be going up 3-1 and with HCA had games 5 and 7 at home.
Then in 2003 I figured it was their time and Webber broke his leg in a series against Dallas...seems like Kings still nearly won the series. Then they had that chance when he got back in 2004. I think they decided to break it up then and trade him to Philly and he hated playing with Iverson thinking he dribbled too much...stated it to someone and it became public. I can't even remember who the Kings traded him for. I think he's one of the more underrated historical players. I felt bad for him not only for those 3 series but obviously his college miscue in the national championship.
Out of the teams you listed it based on how I have felt the last couple years and now, either the Pacers or Nuggets. I usually like their rosters and players. I really like Jokic and also Haliburton...will pull for Smith as well. I like Mathurin obviously and Hield.

Surprised you put Houston. They are among my most hated..that 2005 series will never leave my mind...2004 either. Those were brutal blowing 2-0 leads both times, and 3-1 the second time.

If the Phoenix Suns never existed. Huh. Might as well be what if the universe never existed for me, ha ha!
99% of all sports that I watch is Phoenix Suns basketball. (That's why you don't see me scouting very much around here.)
I put "Other."

Hornets for me since they're my current hometown team. Hoping they tank this year and get a top 2 pick. Franchise needs a kick in the butt in the worst way.
Miles Bridges is the epitome of what an idiot looks like. From a professional side of things, he has set back the franchise a few years, in a market that really can't afford it.
It has taken a decade for the Charlotte franchise to gain footing in this city and as the area grows, so has the fandom. But they need to continue to build success. Pairing Ball with Victor or Scoot and they are well on their way.

Maybe you should let management know that one way to get a top two pick is to trade Scary Terry or Hayward to the Suns for expiring contracts (and maybe a FRP for Scary Terry)

Great question!
I got into basketball relatively late in life. I started playing when I was in my teens in the early 2000's and saw what I could (which wasn't more than a dozen games a season) of the Sixers because I was an Iverson fan. What made me switch over to the Suns was our fast pace, team oriented and fun brand of basketball as opposed to Iverson + 4 defenders. To be honest, I could've EASILY been a Laker, Kings or Mavs fan during the early-mid 2000's since they were winning, they were also exciting to watch and I didn't have full investment in any one team yet. I'm just so glad I became a Suns fan. I would've been insufferable as a Laker fan and perennially depressed as a Kings fan...
So I would say either Sixers or the Mavs.

I became a Suns fan because of Charles Barkley being the challenger to Michael Jordan of 1992.
I think I may have gone Seattle with Shawn Kemp.

I guess the Bulls, because of the Mike and the legacy. But, yeah, Suns forever! I am watching NBA from 2004 nad back then the Suns were runnin and gunnin, you know. Then the decade of bad players, coaches, etc. But we are here and should support the team all the time.
I hope Suns 'not existing' stays only in the theoretical point of view!

Ingram definitely out.
We need to win this one and take advantage from that small injury, when healthy they are gonna be one of the toughest opponents in the league.

Living in Vegas, I would've probably became a Lakers fan otherwise if it wasn't for Steve Nash.
