I expect us to double team Towns since the start of the game, it's the only defensive tactic that makes sense with Cam J against him.

Just checking career all time record between the two teams the suns lead 77-43 head to head matchups. But what is interesting that our teams never faced each other in the playoffs in 33 years since T-Wolves were founded in 89. :o

We faced every single team in the west besides Twolves & OKC ( but OKC thunder was founded in 08).

Meeting teams in east is a bit harder considering only time you face them is during the finals. We’ve played Celtics, Bulls, & Bucks so far.

This will be a tough game without Ayton (and Crowder). Both have done a great job guarding KAT in the past. Our lineups will look a lot different today. Maybe Dario gets a chance?

Suns always shoot well the three against their bad perimeter defense. Gobert doesn't change that. Should be a high scoring game and Suns win.

We’re so outmatched physically in this one especially if Craig doesn’t play either (he plays physical defensively even though he’s not a big).

Sucks but win or lose I hope Suns don’t lose more players to injury trying to overcompensate for rebounding in the paint and such.

Hoping Jock and Bizzy can hold down the fort, but we'll see. Seems like an interesting matchup and I'm looking forward to see Edwards and Booker battle it out

This is where missing Ayton hurts because at some times it might be tough to defend two bigs an perhaps have played some of Ayton and Jock together (Ayton an Biz wouldn't work too well together).

Though on offense being small could be an advantage because Towns would have a tough time keeping up with Cam.

Even though I like keeping Jock with the 2nd unit for chemistry purposes and making Payne's life easier, it might also make some sense to start him so he can stretch the floor and bring Gobert out of the paint. It will be very hard to score in the paint and we will have to hope 3s go down.

We will really have to crash the boards, but tough since Gobert is the best rebounder in the NBA and then Towns in there too, or always at least one of them, will make it tough.

I don't expect any adjustments to the lineups from Monty, just because he doesn't like to make adjustments often, so we will see how it works.

They really only made the playoffs from 97-04 which was right when Barkley left and KJ was on his last legs, and then we had a lower seed for years with Kidd or Marbury or missed at all. They were incidentally the best team in 04, but Cassell got hurt and they lost to the Lakers. Felt bad for KG. He always had the worst teams, drug to the playoffs, and then when he just had decent 2nd and 3rd "semi stars" in Sprewell and Cassell, he gets the #1 seed and Cassell gets injured.

Then Sprewell turned down a decent contract saying he needs more "to feed his family" and really you never heard much from them and they then didn't make the playoffs for 14 years until the Butler year they barely made it..

So they were the #1 seed the year before we got Nash back and we were not in the playoffs that year, then we get Nash and go straight to #1 seed and they go from #1 seed to out of playoffs....then are bad, make bad KG trade, draft 2 PGs in a row ahead of Curry, and made some terrible decision.

It’s getting close to game time, but no bites on Ticketmaster for my tickets that I can’t use tonight.

If you’re in Phoenix and want to go for free, just DM me. I’d love for a Suns fan to go instead of there being an empty seat

People tend to wait until it gets closer and closer. Just gotta keep reducing the price.
If I lived in PHX I'd have gone (although I'd probably have season tickets)

I’ll give you $200 for a ticket anything over 200 and I’ll laugh.

Spoiler:
Was joking Matt, I can’t respond through pms. Hope you find someone for tonight.

Is anyone other than Book ever the leading scorer? Occasionally Paul last year if he had to take over in the 4th, but outside of that, maybe Cam once, Bridges once and Ayton a few times.

That being said, Cam may have an easier time tonight if Towns is on him as I don't think he can keep up with him if he moves around a lot and launches quick 3s, and if Book isn't hitting 3s, it will be very tough to score in the paint with Gobert there..and Towns sometimes to help.

Though I voted for Book which I still think is at least 80% chance.

This could be a tough matchup for us if we don't shoot well from 3. Not only because of their defense inside but it's likely we are killed on the boards. Biz is going to have to really fight. And even Jock if they always keep one of their bigs on the floor.

Going to need to hit a high rate of 3s tonight with Ayton out.

This feels like one of those games where we just get demolished on the boards and unable to grab any boards off misses leading to a convincing L.

Going to be tough to get open looks without aytons gravity, you don't have to really guard biz, makes Gobert even more of a defensive threat, Jock is a better matchup because he can spread the floor
