Is this the first time we've had a thread like this? Just goes to show how badly we've been wrecked by injuries this season

Posted in other thread, but being that they said they would not review Booker's groin injury for a month leads me to believe it's grade 2.

Depending on the grade of your strain, here are the estimated recovery times:

Grade 1: 2 to 3 weeks
Grade 2: 2 to 3 months
Grade 3: 4 months or more

If a team has at least four players out for at least three regular season games, they can petition the NBA for a Hardship Exemption, which would grant the team an extra roster spot. Technically, a team could fill a Hardship roster spot via a DPE.

At this point we should qualify for the injury exception, wonder why JJ is still sitting on his hands?

Will the starting line up of DWJr, Lee, Bridges, Saric and Jock be the worst starting line up we've had for the last decade? And I'm sure there's some real stinkers during the McD years

That's 8 of the 10 man rotation we were running last season. The remaining 2 guys are Bridges and McGee lol

Title should be only "injuries" :) a lot more of those than updates on them... just think back how much info we got about the early season CP injury... there was more there than reported obviously... could be the same with any of these... Payne been out for what for an ankle sprain?

Yes...I mean think, we had Booker most of those years, Bledsoe and TJ Warren many of them as well...PJ Tucker, Chandler, Dragic also on some of them. Just having Book alone makes all those lineups better but even with him, Bledsoe and and TJ Warren we were winning in the 20s, and people expect our squad now to be beating good teams.

I will probably add current updates with date updated for each one on the OP as time goes....so it's all in one post.

I don’t know if it’s true but I believe Cam Johnson comes back 1/19 against BKN

As per usual, Jones is super vague. I know it's not an exact science and a lot of it is just how the player is feeling in terms of readiness but the 19th would put it right in the middle of the middle of the 5-10 day mark.

Phoenix Suns forward Cam Johnson has been out since November 4 due to a torn right meniscus. Two-plus months later, Johnson is closing in on a return.

Suns GM James Jones said Johnson should be back "soon" in a radio appearance with Burns & Gambo on Arizona Sports.

“He’s in the latter stages of it but as far as a definitive timeline I don’t have anything,” Jones said. “I do know at some point soon we should get him back. I just can’t tell you if that’s going to be in five days, 10 days but every day he’s getting closer.”

In recent weeks, Johnson has ramped up his activity. He's wrapping up his return-to-play conditioning phase of his rehab.

Phoenix could use Johnson back, as Devin Booker and Cameron Payne aren't scheduled to be re-evaluated until late-January. And over the last week or so, Deandre Ayton, Chris Paul and Landry Shamet have all missed games with various injuries. The Suns are also still trying to find a trade for forward Jae Crowder, who has been away from the team all season.
