Even when we traded Nash (my fav of all time), the writings were kinda on the wall but I've never felt this bad about seeing a Sun getting traded

This one stings, but I hope to see him in a Suns uniform during his prime when he's due for his next contract.

My fav Sun. I hate this trade. I know KD is a great player but we just mortgaged our future for the next few years.

He’ll be greatly missed. Mikal was my favorite player on the Suns. Before that it was Nash I assumed Bridges would be here for the foreseeable future, guess I was wrong.

My favorite player in the league, yeah this one hurts worse than any trade i can recall. Even more than Nash for me.

This trade hurts worse for me than the Nash trade too. We were basically a treadmilling non-playoff team when an aging Nash got traded. Mikal is still young and he’s one of those players that you can say works very hard in the offseason because every single season he’s gotten better and added something new to his game.

Got very good at cutting, then became very good at defending then became very good at 3pt shooting then became very good at midrange and then this season he became pretty good with his ball handling and dribbling.

Such a durable player too in a league that’s made up of players looking for an excuse to sit out games or get injured very easily.

And I don’t think Suns fans have had a non-star player that almost all of us universally liked so much. Last one I can think of is maybe Dragic in his 2nd stint with the Suns.

Best of luck to Mikal and hope the Suns can get him back one day. I’ll definitely miss him when watching games.

Great Sun. Loved having him on the team. Wish him more success and a possible return.

This is how I feel :( Book and Mikal for me was who we should build around. Mikal is the perfect player for today's NBA. Elite defender, good 3 point shooter, injury free, and was just starting to be more of a shot creator

Heartbroken honestly

Sad to see our best drafted player from the 2018 draft go.
But it is what it is.

We mortgaged our future for a in my opinion 2 year window to try to wind it riding Book and KD's final years.

I hate this trade and hate that Ishbia took over mid season without seeing what the current group could have done this year, we could have tried a trade in the summer but this looks like we really jumped the gun on this trade.

Can't believe you gave this guy away. He was the Suns.

The heart and soul of this team. It’s like losing Nash or Dragic all over again.

Screw Ishbia, even if we do win with KD it won't be organic and it will be like the Lakers covid championship.

We had a winning team and just a bit of tweaking was needed without trading our future away for an aging KD.
