With a loss tonight, we're a marked target for the last guaranteed playoff spot. The fact we've managed to squander so many opportunities is hugely disappointing and a lot of that falls on Monty Williams and his inability to manage his players appropriately. He's not having to put the ball through the hoop, but he has to be smarter and savvier than he's shown thus far.

Durant coming back soon may be just enough to keep us in the mix but having to rely on a dude who sprained his ankle by way of an unguarded layup in warmups is awfully telling.

I'm tired of hoping against hope with this team and personally think we'd be better suited to an early exit than another underwhelming loss at the hands of Dallas or the Lakers.

Us playing like total sh*t is actually a master plan to make teams take us lightly going into the playoffs. Once in the playoffs we will engage hyper-mode and destroy the NBA and leave it in a pile of ashes.

The busy Saturday night game threads. I wonder if it gets past 5 pages tonight. I see much of the Ayton fan club here, but it looks like he's out, so that's good. We can see the energy Biz brings.

I like your optimism, but I had a hard time reading it without rolling my eyes.

I mean we lost to the Kings by 8 without Craig and Biz starting in place of KD and Ayton. Now I know some feel we are better with Biz than Ayton but even if that's the case, just the other difference is huge.

If we can hang with our likely first round opponent without those guys, I'm sure we will be fine unless KD gets injured again.

I would say LA or Minn COULD catch us, but they do have to play each other. Now we play both of them. Now if one of those teams goes on a run, beats the other, and also beats us, they could gain ground quickly if we keep losing.

And Memphis is probably my least favorite matchup, even if they don't have Ja. Now that they have added Kennard in additon to the rest of their 3 pt shooters in Bane, JJJ, Brooks and others, that is really tough. They got hot from 3 last night and crushed. Kennard only hit 10 3s.

And JJJ is probably the most equipped guy in the NBA to guard KD other than maybe a fully engaged Giannis or Kawhi on defense, but maybe even better.

Biyombo and Craig have to be two of the least skilled offensive players in the league, they are painful to watch on that end

You can add Okogie he just can't shoot , can't believe Monty keeps rolling out this same awful lineup, literally incapable of making adjustments

Well the defense isn't awful. However, the offense...
