This isn't a "grass is greener" situation.

The last three years were all championship contention year and he blew it. Especially last year.
Just saying teams can get in an endless cycle of hiring and firing trying to find the perfect coach. Every coach has some warts. This felt a little like the Mike D firing where I get it but now don't go hire Terry Porter 2.0.

One good thing is this time they actually have an owner willing to spend on a coach.

Need to change title to: First to go was Monty, next to go JJ or Ayton/Paul?

And just like Dantoni, Monty also couldn't bring a championship with the Suns.

Monty got his shots. But his commitment to Payne, Shamet and the unwillingness to try other defensive scheme is his downfall.

Look at what Spoelstra is able to do with the Heat's roster.

Sounds like Myers is taking the season off (based on wiretap). I could see JJ getting one more crack at this and then we go hard after Myers next offseason.

I know JJ was recently promoted to POBO on top of his GM role and that the plan was for him to move on from the day to day GM stuff but I wonder what his relationship with Ishbia is like.

Ishbia obviously went above JJ's head to get the deal done so I wonder it's a similar situation to Monty where Ishbia never quite took to Monty.

Monty should've been fired when we lost to the Bucks in the Final after leading 2-0.

4 straight losses!

Out-coached by Budenholzer of all people!

As for Ayton, we are stuck with this bum. We will see what Vogel can get out of him. We can only hope.
