Shot distribution

Curious what people think on this. People spend so much time on 5th starter or minutes split but I also see people talking about # of shots people will get in the main thread. Obviously we have a lot of guys now who are used to a lot of shot.

League average # of shots per game last year, just over 88.

Going back to 2 years ago, before all the injuries last year which may have skewed things, given Ayton and Bridges were the only 2 healthy guys half the year...

In 21-22, our shots were.

Spoiler:

Book was at 20.1 last year and just under 20 in previous years.
KD averaged 16 in his 8 regular season games with us and over 20 in 21-22 in BKN with all their injuries, but in GS averaged around 16-18
Beal was at 17.6 last year, 19.3 the year before and at around 23 the two years before that, but clearly was the only main guy.

In the playoffs, against LA, Book averaged 24 FGA and KD 17, and against Denver, Book 21 and KD 23.

Gordon averaged around 10 the last two years and around 13 the year before that.

As you can see in the graphic above, in 21-22 our starters averaged about 63FGA/G but if you add in our 6th and 7th guys (the Cams) you get to 82 FGA per game.

I think it will probably be something like

Book 19
KD 16
Beal 15
Ayton 10
Gordon 9
Payne 8
Yuta 5
KBD 5
Okogie 5
Eubanks 4

The total is higher than 88 because of injuries and different guys playing. Like I don't expect Yuta, KB and Okogie to get 15, but more like 9 or 10.

Ayton can make his own shots if he gets the hint, and can be aggressive on the boards.

Book 18
KD 18
Beal 16
Ayton 10
Gordon 8
Payne 8
Yuta/KBD/Okogie/Eubanks 10

There's a also a chance we take more than 90fga's given all the talk from Vogel about playing with pace which isn't something we've really done under CP3/Monty.
