Question: of the new signings, who is most likely to surprise you?
I think Bol Bol is an obvious answer, but I might go with KBD. I loved the KBD signing and knew a little bit about him but I also don't have super high expectations of the dude.
Watanabe kinda reminds me of Cam Johnson, it wouldn’t surprise if he is the clear 5th guy on the team by end of the season.

Metu. I think people have way higher expectations of Bol, Watanabe, and Eubanks and Gordon is more of a "known commodity." I can see Metu playing well in small samples and for us to start clamoring for him to get a bigger role.

I think Eubanks will surprise a lot of people. He’s a very high tier backup C, could probably start for a handful of teams.

I love Watanabe but that's also why I don't think he's high on my surprise list. I am probably unreasonably high on him and if he's to surprise me, it's likely because he's underwhelming.

I really haven't watched enough of guy to feel one way or another. But given he's a high motor guy who's a good rebounder, good rim protector and has started to shoot 3's over the last few years, he could certainly surprise.

might be actually 10 x's not 3 x. Sorry I was wrong.
Crazy to think that 38 years there was 1101 sudden deaths of athletes under 35 years. 1312 deaths since covid.
One thing someone should look into, is energy drinks as well. Wonder if some of these athletes drink them
Yeah, not trusting the info collected by people who refuse to actually stand behind their "study" and link to Stew Peters.
Is Stew Peters related to Dick Supe?
We wont know the true impact of the covid vax for another 15-20 yrs… and by that time global warming will have done us in, so to speak.
Yay future
Good luck youngsters

Is it a good or a bad sign that we are generally really positive about our off season? Can't remember the last time we were excited about so many signings

His lack of shooting is a concern for me. He is better than Biyombo in that regard but not by much, he probably will not play in the clutch or too many minutes because of that.

I could see Metu having a similar impact for us that Landale did. We didn't know what to expect of Jock, but he suddenly became our 2nd best center.
Hopefully both he and Eubanks have really good seasons, and we have options come playoff time.

Given the media has mostly praised the Suns offseason, I think it's OK to be excited. It's not really a case of being excited just because it's our team.

Sorry, it’s tough for me to keep track of all your burner accounts. Wouldn’t be a slim Charles reply without getting personal, must be heated.
2 things:
1st, You're not too old as you've mentioned bars and bringing home girls (of low, low quality no doubt

) so I was just playing off of your own posts. You've made it clear that you're not a boomer. That was a joke. Take it easy.
2nd, Don't call someone out with incorrect facts then get pissy when they politely respond.
That was polite??

Goodwin for me most likely to either surprise or disappoint.
If he can replicate last season he's the perfect 5th starter, but if he can't will have competition for his spot on the bench.

...and even if those 2 things don't get the youngsters, good luck retiring! Especially after paying 40 years into Social Security, and realizing, there won't be any left for them...

Agreed. Metu is a true widlcard; I really liked him coming out of USC. I think a lot depends whether he can get any meaningful minutes, like you said...If he does, we could have a really hidden gem, there...

I am going to go Eubanks, think the energy and tenacity he plays with will really show out.

No, people have recently been taught that if you disagree with one thing they have been convinced is the whole truth, your whole life is a lie and should be vigorously ridiculed. Its a sickness, no one agrees on everything. "What, you actually believe in spirits or ghosts...... you are an unhinged maniac, please do not write anything on my board to read"!!! "UFO'S!!!!! BURN HIM!!!!" I think some of you are idiots and absolutely crazy, dont mean we can't co-exist.

I think a more fun question is: who becomes the Landry Shamet of this team? Someone who we all hate but gets way too much playing time anyway (NOT allowed to say Ayton).
The thing that seems to be different about the roster this year is that everyone has fairly good energy and hustle. So no one will be a total liability. But typically fans grow to dislike at least one player, so it’s just funny to speculate.

I think alot depends on who is the 5th starter.
If it's Bates-Diop I think Beal could be a scapegoat, he's going to have to run the point and then defend the point which he's never really done before, if we struggle on either end there's going to be calls about not having a proper PG.
Gordon is another potential as he's very reliant on one trick and at 35 if he has any drop off he could be similar to Shamet.
Eubanks defense could go either way, would want to be impactful or might have pressure to play Bol or Metu instead.
(can't believe theres still 3 months to go I'm out of talking points really)

I think we were really excited about Langston Galloway and E'Twaun Moore. Of course we did go to the finals that year.
Never so excited about this many minimums, but we also had a lot of guys on mid level contracts or rookie ones...Bridges, Cam, Jae, Dario, Ayton, McGee the next year, Craig, etc.
With minimums we did great...but overall our depth is weaker. They are minimum for a reason but hopefully some break out. But we also didn't have such 3 big name stars. Booker is better, KD is better than anyone we had, Beal is a superstar, etc. Though I don't think Beal is as good as Paul was two years ago or even 1 year ago until the last 5 games of the playoffs. I don't know if Beal is really better at anything...except maybe 3 pt shooting. Paul was a master leader, passer, great at creating own shot, super clutch, solid D, etc.
