Cody Martin is 29, SG/SF considered a good defender.
He has a non guaranteed contract ($8.7M) for next season. I think he is gonna fight for a roster on the team next year and if he plays well his salary looks fair.
We can save money if we don't want him back after 6/30/2025.

I knew we would get another "lessor twin" eventually. In NBA history, has there ever been an NBA twin set where the lessor twin was never a Sun? I think we collect them. Maybe early in the past we thought we were trading for the better one, only to realize it was the other guy. Now I think it's more a novelty.

Ok I looked it up. Unfortunately Harvey Grant eluded us - if we end up getting Jerami Grant does that still count? We still have time to trade for Ausar Thompson (have to make sure he's the right one, don't want to get Amen by mistake). Other than that I believe we have a complete set.

Suns have had quite a few lesser brothers

I would like to trade Cody and try to trade Royce and Grayson because both of them are undersized at their position next season because we really need to get under the 2nd apron at all costs if we aren't going to trade KD or Book.
I prepare to be once again disappointed in the offseason when JJ will yet again disappoint us.

I hope he doesn't steal minutes from Dunn, who obviously younger and has a higher ceiling.

My list was missing Harrison and Murray. Looks like the Sun's have more work to do.

Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer suggested Monday that Martin (sports hernia) likely won't be available to play until after the All-Star break, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports.
Martin had missed seven consecutive games while recovering from a sports hernia before the Hornets traded him to the Suns on Thursday.
The 29-year-old wing has reported to the Suns but doesn't appear to have resumed practicing yet, so the team will likely hold him out Tuesday versus the Grizzlies and Wednesday in Houston to give him some more time to heal up from the sports hernia.

How dare you forget the great Taylor Griffin, brother of the marginally greater Blake Griffin

I wouldn't think so. Caleb isn't even measurably better than Dunn

Not a twin. Suns have had plenty of lesser brothers. Zoran Dragic, Seth Curry, Aaron Hoilday, to name a few

FWIW I don't think Cody is the lesser twin. He is better at defense and passing than Caleb.
Caleb is a better shooter. He just got the fanfare from that playoff run with Miami.
Cody's team awareness is amazing which is his biggest asset

Damn you're right
the Lesser brother, lesser twin theme is certainly rampant.
Where does the Pumlee's stand? The fact that we got both Miles and Mason and never Marshall, is that even steven?

Positive impact on his first two games as a Sun.
I think he is an sleeper to make the roster next year. I need to watch more from him but his defense, hustle and passing looks really good.

I thought he was a surefire cut but given his scrappiness, we may just guarantee his roster for the positives you listed above but maybe more importantly, an expiring contract to move.
