If we can't trade Beal...

Do you guys prefer a Beal's buyout taking the hit for just 2 years or stretching that money for 5 years?
$110M is his salary.

Example:

He agrees verbally on a two-year deal with any other team for MLE money. $28M/2 years. ($14M per year).

Beal and the Suns agrees on a buyout for $90M so he would get $90M + $28M. $118M... he earns $8M and that's basically why he agrees to the buyout.

We can pay those $90M in two years. Next year $44M and $46M in 2026/27. Reducing around $10M and waiving Micic and Cody Martin's contracts will be enough to get under the 2nd apron.

Or buyout and stretch? $18M for the next 5 years. That's a decent option too but I have my doubts about it. I would probably prefer in just 2 years.

We're going to be irrelevant for more than two years no matter what we do. You have to eat the two years of that contract.

Will leave the other one open since there is still some ongoing discussion, but put new posts here.

Keith Smith actually breaks down why waiving and stretching Beal this summer is unlikely, but also wouldn't be a very wise decision either!

Basically we need to ride this out until the following 26' season when he becomes an enormous $57 million expiring contract.

The teams with multiple 1sts should be targets for trades either in a KD trade or else Allen and/:or O'neale.

So we can add some more young, energetic high level impact athletes to fill our roster holes with some impact talent like Dunn, Oso and Gillespie have provided.

Hello to my American Phoenix Suns friends.
Does anyone know if there is a team photo of Phoenix Suns 2024-2025? I need this for my personal archive. Thanks a lot.

-------------------------------------------------------
The 2025 offseason will be a challenging one, but we're not in the dark.

We have Booker in the starting lineup, and a solid second unit featuring (PG)Gillespie, (SG)Dunn, (SF) O'Neal, (PF)Ighodaro, and (C) Richards as a foundation for the 2025–2026 season.

By moving on from Beal, Durant, Allen, and Misic, we could save around $130 million — cap space that could be used to acquire draft picks and bring in four new starters and a 6th man.

As for veteran minimum options, players like Monte Morris, Bol Bol, Mason Plumlee, Tyus Jones (though he may be harder to keep), and Damion Lee could round out the roster for the new season.

I wouldn’t bet on Kevin Durant being out just yet — he and Devin Booker have a strong relationship, and that connection still matters.

The real issue with this team isn’t just the roster — it’s the attitude. Beal’s approach and Bud’s coaching style seem to be the biggest problems holding us in the dark right now.

Greetings from Greece Suns Community

I prefer the buyout over a trade or stretch in that it is the lesser of three evils

Trade - won't get back anybody worth a darn and it probably costs picks
Stretch - prolongs the pain. Just suck it up - its two years. And truly, what are you getting with the MLE that you can't get with the vet minimum. Royce O'Neal is basically the MLE.

But if you can use Micic, Martin and the buyout savings, can get below and apron levels that would allow trading to happen, with multiple playuers.

That involves one of two things

1) blowing it up

2) a GM makinga trade nobody saw coming that would create a good combo with Booker

So blow it up it is!

Gambo:

The Phoenix Suns fired Mike Budenholzer for several reasons. The team did not compete. There was no energy. The team didn't like each other. His relationship with players was not good. They were awful defensively. Just overall performance. Overall it was considered "A bad fit".

The Suns released the following statement:

Competing at the highest level remains our goal, and we failed to meet expectations this season. Our fans deserve better. Change is needed.
