With KD gone, the Booker-Beal duo should look much better. KD absorbs so much game and shoots...
If KD goes to Philly and we can get that number 3, then 3 for 5 to Utah and may be a player (Oneale) from us should do.
Getting Kessler and Maluach in this draft would be astonishing , so we would be able to let Richards go.
Anyway, if the Heat want Wiggins+Rozier for Beal, I would do it. Rozier is one of the worst decision makers in the history of basketball, but he is an expiring... Wiggins is a very good second/third option. But I would not understand the Heat wanting Beal when they have Herro and Robinson and no PG at all... the same situation than us, but paying much less...

If it's true that Bud asked Beal to be like Jrue then that's just silly.

Bud should have asked Beal to be the Derrick White of the Suns. A spot shooter while on with KD and Booker.
Similarly Bud should have asked Booker to give KD the first option role until he gets tired.

But I think Booker and KD didn't care and just wanted to shoot hoops rather than be syrategic

Hope we can make that Philly swap happen. Getting the #3 for Durant is a great deal, even if we have to take on Podcast P.

I have to disagree. The Paul contract is so bad. He is already 35, signed through 2028. You are still stuck with Beal. You have the same problem of having money tied up in Booker and Podcast Paul.

I dont really see the Sixers biting but if they did, being able to potentially grab your next franchise player (not a big draft guy so unsure how realistic that is) at #3 might be worth it.

There really was never a point in firing Frank Vogel.

Or using it in a trade down scenario attached to Beal while picking up other assets/ picks? :dontknow:

Maybe to Brooklyn for their #8 pick if they take Beal (and he wants to go there)?

I'd still rather get actual assets though. Utah might give us good stuff to get a shot at Ace Bailey or VJ.

Or trading CP3 and Ayton.

Should have given Vogel the chance to build new culture.

Ayton was a rotten fly in the ointment!! Other players respect for him was GONE!! Dude was a Lil bitch! The time when Bridges and him were arguing while Beal (washington game) was shooting free-throws, and then he and Monte arguing in the huddle show exactly what his teammates and coaches think about him. Monte was alienated and exposed after he was fired, but Ayton has the same damn reputation with the Blazers!! Talented but just a mental midget. Getting rid of him wasn't wrong but we should have gotten a diffrent package for him, we basically dumped him for a flawed package. Getting rid of Bridges and Johnson was the wrong move that doomed us BUT it was KEVIN FRICKEN DURANT!! Calculated risk that unfortunately turned out bad but "I UNDERSTAND" the reach. It didn't work because of our roster building, or lack there of that followed. Unfortunate......

I actually do not dislike your proposals. I just think we'd be better with Durant, size, scoring, and talent wise, getting either Wiggins, or Nance, or someone similar. I also think that caliber of player should be available at less expense.

I only disagree with your first sentence. Everyone of the top ten scorers takes more shots than KD. And on this team he takes even one less than Booker. And more importantly, when considering those who should shoot, is only Giannis, who shoots only one three a game, exceeds his overall efficiency, and only Banchero slightly exceeds his 3 pt%. Since he takes one or two less FG attempts than any of his top ten peers, however, I don't believe he "absorbs so much game and shots."

The 8th pick would be solid. Although I'm leaning more towards targeting their 19th, 26, and 27th picks and maybe pulling a BRK 26' 1st ( top 10 protected) 1st.

And I'm definitely trying to pull C Johnson if I can in the trade but if not, then I'd trade it for the 8th and 26th picks. But, if Beal's unwilling to go there, then I'm targeting Orlando.

Maybe Beal/ 3rd for Isaac/ KCP/ Bidatze/ Harris (7 million expiring)/ 16th pick/ 25th pick/ 46th pick/ ORL 28' 1st.

But first I'd make the offer to Houston for a Beal/ 3rd pick for J Green/ J Smith Jr/ Landale / Whitmore/ 10th pick/ PHX 27' 1st/ HOU 26' 2nd/ HOU 28' 2nd.

I'm flipping J Green to another team for more young players/ picks if possible?

I also do think that George could possibly showcase himself better playing off of Booker and since he doesn't have a NTC, we could possibly move him at the deadline for other pieces/ assets?? I think any of Atlanta, Charlotte, Sacramento, Chicago, Memphis, New Orleans, etc could have interest?

Also, maybe Utah as you mentioned would swap something like Collins/ Kessler/ 21st/ 43rd/ LAL 27' 1st for George/ Richards/ 3rd pick?? Otherwise keep it simple, something like O'neale/ 3rd pick for Walker/ 5th pick??

Yes I agree. Trading CP3 was bad because the Beal trade is like cancer you can't get rid of it. As for Ayton trading him was fine but the Suns should have let him play with Vogel as the head coach and than trade Ayton at the trade deadline. His value would have been higher.

Vogel was pretty good as a head coach for the Suns compared to Ridley Scott.
