Can't watch the game but Maluach's first half stats look pretty good. Did he have a good first half, or mostly still looking lost? He has looked decent as a lob target on offense so far this pre-season, so I'm guessing that's where most of his point game from?

Some sloppy and selfish play by this backcourt of Goodwin and Butler. It's nice they're making some baskets, but their lack of awareness has cost us buckets.

They're backups for backups in the regular season. Don't really care too much tbh.

Not much better feelings out there than beating any team from LA. Preseason or whenever really.

We got a free scorer off the bench lol lets go. Butler's form continues from last year.

Team is already miles more fun to watch than the slog fest of the Durant years (no disrespect to Durant, he's an all-time great, but his addition ruined the team)

Maluach has filled the stat sheet nicely. Brea is disappointing so far with important open 3 miss in last game and 0-6 in this one.

Seeing our scrubs dominate makes me think Lakers will look pretty bad on D this season led by old, slow and unmotivated.

I thought they said he was on a training contract, didn't know he signed a 1 year deal

It's non-guaranteed. One of Goodwin or Butler is getting the final spot.

Their contracts become fully guaranteed on 1/20/2026.

We won the game because of them. Both played really well and they needed to score the ball, we didn't have too many shot creators.

Butler in particular was impressive in this one. His handles are great and his touch on floaters make him a difficult cover on any two-man game.

Both are keepers and they make our roster more versatile and more competitive because you can't have your end of the bench filled with just youngsters, you need some guys in their primes like Butler and Goodwin.

Maluach showed that he is a terrific project and he is ready to help us since day 1. Yeah, not on a big role but he can contribute as a backup now.

I love his intensity and he is really skilled for a big guy. We got a great one for years to come.

A big fan of Jared Butler since his Baylor days. I hope he stick around as a Sun.

As of right now, both Goodwin and Butler staying gets us to the 15 man roster. Cutting Duke Jr from the roster and Baugh from the 2 way contracts gets us exactly at 15 roster and 3 2 way to start the season. So unless we decide to pick up a player who gets released, there is currently room for both right? I am so far disappointed in Hayes-Davis, he has not lived up to the hype yet. Thought he would be a very solid reliable vet with a good shooting percentage while making the right passed. So far, not good.
