2025-26 Season News & Discussion

Post#1 » by mkot » Wed Oct 22, 2025 6:58 pm

Thought we should have a new thread for the season

KD's first night is honestly what many of us expected. Got his points, lost the game. Not a very good debut for him and the Rockets. Dribble the ball off his feet, turnovers, called a timeout the team didn't have, got cooked by SGA, fouled out, and attempted only 3 shots in the 2nd half. I know FVV wasn't there but the offense is exactly what I expected from a Ime Udoka led team, a lot of 1 on 1 basketball and too reliant on Sengun to make things happen.

It's just 1 game, they only lost by 1 and KD will have better nights.

And btw Udoka needs to shut up about teams copying his twin towel lineup, he didn't invent it. Heck the Wolves ran it the season before them. Get out of here...

Clippers could be a rehash of 2024 Suns

Bradley Beal doing his thing... 5 points, 1r and 0 assists in 20 minutes starting for the Clippers.

Probably sounds crazy but I can see the Clippers sending him home at some point of the season.

NBA coaches and players making money off of sports betting and FBI goes after them. But its okay for elected official to trade stocks using inside information. What a country!!

That Clippers box score is something else...CP3 should have returned to phx. It would have been nice to have him as a leader and maybe play him 15-20 minutes a game

Clippers suck and I am here for it. That locker room is probably a mess.

If there's anything the Suns could teach the rest of the league is don't fill your roster with lackadaisical past their prime veterans.

Tell me we didn't dodge a bullet by not hiring Billups. Portland extended him this summer or else we likely would have made a real push for him. Def don't need that noise. Hopefully there are no Suns players/personnel that turn up on that list

Jalen Green (hamstring) to miss at least 2 more games, per coach Ott.

the bourgeoisie class make the rules and the government is simply the institution by which to keep the economic system going that allows them to live off the labour of the workers so they do not have to engage in any real production.

I completely get the rationale that ownership/staff didn't want CP3 to overshadow the new (and young) coaching team because he does have a tendency to do that. But I also can't help but feel like we could benefit a lot from his steady hand, Book/Green playing more off ball and of course, the teaching opportunities for the young guys. I definitely feel like this was a missed opportunity

I have no idea how close or how interested we were in Billups but I certainly wasn't.

Lots of people trade stocks on inside information. I don't think most politicians have much inside info other than maybe a Trump tariff announcement which seems to move the stock market. Not like the smart money....connected people in the financial world.

All I know is someone needs to prove that Ishbia was the mastermind behind all of this and shouldn't be allowed to own an NBA team....

Weekly there's new pardons of people who cheat/defraud/steal. Those people have the right connections and behind kissing.

Suns have about as little trade options and flexibility as just about any team in the league, so we'll just have to play what we have and hope for the best.

It's what our front office has referred to as "building the team the right way"

We could still maybe trade Book to Houston for FVV, Jabari Smith, Reed Shephard, our unprotected 2027 and 2029 picks. I'm not sure about FVV with his player option and I'd probably prefer Tari Eason than Smith but he is on his rookie contract last year, so if it was next offseason not sure how it would work.

They might be pretty good if they could start Book, DFS, KD, Amen Thompson and Sengun and we'd have some younger guys, an expiring FVV (player option next year) and our own picks those two years.

Not sure what Book will want if/when we are like 14-37 or something like that. I mean we will be competitive but we just don't have the talent to compete with a team with the talent of the Clips, and they are probably no better than like the 6 seed. We will have to see how we look against teams like Portland, Utah, the Kings with Sabonis, a healthy Pelicans team, etc. I know there is no reason to tank since we don't have our pick but we likely will be bad anyway for a few years. Might as well reload with more young guys.

I was thinking how weird it is that the FBI focuses so much time and effort on this when you have such bigger deals, but I guess they can't really go after politicans if they are connected by the President, or pardoned criminals who can pay him.

I'd much rather trade him to Detroit or New Jersey for some of their young talent and a ton of picks. I'm just nauseated at the proposition of gifting Houston with anything more if there's a palatable alternative!

I might prefer to even trade him to Utah for young prospects picks ( our 2031 1st back) or maybe to New Orleans for Zion, other young pieces and ( Milwaukee) picks, etc.

Or to Orlando for something around Suggs, Isaac, Desilva, PHX 2030 1st, and multiple other picks.
