does the byc1 mean that we can

As far as I know we would have to only take back 4,5 millions in Boris' case, so trading him would mean cap relief for us. The problem is: which team would be willing to take on twice the salary they ship out just to get someone like Diaw?

we have to send out his full contract but can only receive half of this years contract back in it

makes it VERY hard to trade them

Also neither one performs anywhere near his salary. That's an obstacle, too.

barbs is on one of the best performance valued contracts in the league

Yeah I agree with SDU, Barbosa is a mega bargain when you look at Devin Harris, Kevin Martin and soon to be Ben Gordon's deals.

Initially I saw the title and immediately thought "yeah but because of different reasons" haha

Hell yea

When K.Brown is healthy he is exactly what Suns need, big body good defender ect

and Radmannovic is actually not that bad

ah. ok, so i get the point wrong.
but i also agree that it would be very difficult to trade diaw, barbs is almost untouchable, whenever he starts he gets more than 20 points....
great guy also.

so i don

BYC players are hard to trade - but not impossible. The key is to do a deal with a lot of salary involved.

Bulls have 2 BYC players: Hinrich could easily go in a trade for Kidd; Nocioni could easily go in a trade for Gasol

(These trades were "speculated" in the press & there is no evidence that teams actually discussed those deals. My point is that they would be possible despite the BYC)

Oops! Had Banks in my mind instead of Barbosa. But Banks isn't BYC, he's just untradeable for the regular reason of sucking and having 3 more years after this one left on his contract.

Barbosa outperformed his salary last year maybe more than anyone else in the league. This year, his play is down a bit so far, but still better than his salary would predict. An awesome signing by the Suns' front office!
