Amare/Marion

What seems to be another example of Amare & Marion not being too fond of each other...

You can BARELY see it in this clip but I noticed it right away last night after Marion hit the floater. Everyone else on the team comes to give Marion props and Amare just walks to the bench. Not what you like to see from a captain...

WTF are you talking about. You see Amare fist pump after Shawn hits the shot. Go away.

on the video to start this thread tho, you cant read anything into that

notice amare was the only one who had the presence to not celebrate and make sure the cavs werent going to inbound the ball quickly etc, amare is all business while the others celebrated

he knew there was 1 second left, its still business time, go to the bench get your defensive play and then celebrate after the stop

we all remember what happens when you celebrate prematurely (bad quality video, but here is marion celebrating then it costing us the game)

not sure where else to post this, so ill post it in a thread with marion in the title

"Marion has scored in single digits four times this month. That never happened in one game for all of the 2005-06 season."

interesting

What's the matter with looking for additional problems where there aren't any? I don't care whether STAT and Trix are the best of friends, or whether they don't send each other cute little postcards for Christmas, as long as they put their (fictional) chemistry problems to rest while they're on the court together.
Not to mention it could be a lot worse anyway: Haywood and Thomas, anyone?!

Dare I say if we had a Haywood-Thomas situation here, Marion would be on the injured list

What a stupid thread. Thank you SDU for that quote after the game.

People need to just get over that marion and amare are not best buds.

Mhm, just like Etan...I know, for different reasons, but still ;)

People really just want to read into things a little too much. Perhaps I'm naive but I really don't think there is a prob between the 2 of them. I've seen *heaps* of footage of them and a few other younger Suns (like LB) just kidding around and stuff.

Storm in a tea-cup.

^^ Agreed. I see them cracking jokes on the bench and sitting next to each other all the time.

i think amare and marion both arent too tolerant of LB though

thinigs seem to give me that impression

nothing to worry about or anything silly, there are players on every team dont get along and i dont think its to that extent, but i do believe marion and amare dont like the way barbs plays on the court

It's not like they have to be the best of friends in order to play together anyway, right? I guess with all the rumors about them not getting along too well before, now everybody immediatly starts thinking that there's something wrong whenever he thinks he just noticed the slightest sign of disharmony.

What really bothers me in that video is that the only Suns highlight is the winning floater by Shawn Marion. It's all LeBron. WTF.

^ agreed

re our chemistry - the media has alot to answer for

i dont think the suns have any issues that every other team doesnt, yet ours seem to be blown out of all proportion

In terms of LB, he could solve any criticism by just not shooting every time he has the ball. We know and he knows that he gets put on the court to score, but you still have to get everyone else involved.

I think pros get just as frustrated as we do in pick-up games where one dude takes every shot and doesn't even look for anyone. They have to bust their a$$ on the defensive end just to run down and have LB chuck and pray.

I think the LB thing has a lot to do with him being so humble and willing to listen to others. Lets face it most NBA players are pricks and beyond their rookie year they won't listen to advice from others because they have this know-it-all attitude.

LB couldn't be further away from that and I think some players just go overboard a bit when giving advice or get frustrated when LB doesn't do what they want.

Just the impression I get. I don't usually make comments like this because lets face it we don't really know these guys but how could you not like LB? It seems like he could make friends and have a few laughs with Satan himself ...
