15 boards for Horford? I'll take the over. 22 boards, 12 offensive. This is a game I'm very interested in seeing, because I didn't see the first Atlanta game. The story after that one was that Atlanta was just too athletic for the Suns, who I guess looked pretty old & slow that night. I want to see if that was just a fluke/off-night, or if the Suns have truly slowed down a lot relative to previous years.

Your guys can probably coast, The hawks can't even win with all the key players in the rotation.

Uh yeah.... that is how I felt before playing the Clips, the lowly Wolves, and the lowly Heat.

And someone said JJ would drop 30, he has been awful for us all season. Josh Smith is the guy you need to look out for.

Looks like hill will play in this one but he will come off the bench. I would've preferred it if he sat out a couple of more games just to be on the cautious side.

Sounds about right.

Phoenix is favored to win by 9.5

Well the truth is Atlanta loves playing Phoenix because of the following reasons.
1. The Suns idea is to score fast and get the opposition into a track meet. The thing is Atlanta may be one of the youngest in shape teams in the NBA. So they dont have to play near as disciplined and can get creative with their individual play.
2. They match up player per player great with the Suns. The difference is obviously Steve Nash and the system the Suns run.
Expect the following:
A. Josh Smith to have a field day cause Suns have troubles with slashing small forwards with size.
b. Someone unexpected the Suns will say go ahead and shoot all you want we are backing off. This leads to a huge game for some and sometimes those teams fall right into the trap.
C. If Amare and Shawn both double double its over
D, If Steve Nash has 12 assist the Suns win also
The only way Atlanta wins is to shoot 50pct from the field.
or Amare gets in early Foul trouble

As to the game, I think Horford and Smith are just perfect players to play against us (as in that's a bad thing for us). Horford just provides the immovable object near the basket who attacks the boards and Smith just gets to use his athleticism against us. Almost thrives on the end-to-end plays cos it allows him to get to the basket (on one end to block shots, on the other for dunks).

We need to at least do a semi-decent job rebounding. I think we are a much better team in the half-court. Would be great to see Amare get 1 of the 2 aforementioned in foul trouble early. I think running the PnR with Diaw might be a good idea since Smith gives Nash fits when they switch. With Diaw if they switch, Nash can just offload to him and take Smith out of the play (if he dares double Diaw, Nash will make him pay with the 3).
